Marinhas is a hidden gem in Aveiro, known for its excellent seafood freshly prepared. The seafood stew is a must-try, filled with langoustine, shrimps, mussels, and clams at a great price. The menu features grilled fish and meats, along with delicious rice and stews. Special mention goes to the octopus dish, which comes with a seafood rice casserole with mussels and prawns, and the bacalhau a chefe, both highly recommended. The restaurant also serves a dish of the day that changes and has a fixed price, making it more economical. The sapateira is wonderful as well. While the menu is only in Portuguese, local staff provide friendly service, although it can become confusing when the restaurant fills up. The portions are generous, often enough for two or three people. Guests have noted the intense grill smell inside, but the atmosphere remains welcoming. Marinhas is a true discovery in Aveiro, perfect for a luxurious dining experience at reasonable prices.
