“There's nothing I enjoy more than hearing someone who is passionate about their craft sharing that passion with others. The experience crafted at From The Vine was more than I could have hoped for, informative, entertaining, and had the atmosphere of a conversation between friends. I honestly could have listened to our host Caio talk about wine for hours, as I heard his passion in every sentence. The wines were great, but I also learned how to get more out of enjoying wine in general, as well as much about the science and origins behind numerous types and regions of wine.
A great experience with friends, partners, or even alone, and I highly recommend you come with questions! If you're interested in more than just drinking wine to get drunk, you will certainly get a lot out of this experience. I will definitely be booking again next time I'm in Lisbon, as the wines are always tailored to the day, the atmosphere, the weather, etc. and you're very likely to have a different but equally amazing experience if you go more than once.“

“Laid-back creative bistro with seasonal sharing plates and a pure selection of terroir-driven wines (that I did not taste because I don’t drink but maybe one day again). Warm atmosphere and welcoming staff. A unique dining experience with a stunning variety of tastes and textures. Ordered five plates including dessert. The Ceviche de jaca verde was a great start introducing me to the imaginative world of Senhor USA with mythical blends between each fruit and the tangy touch from the red onion.
The Curgete was by far my favorite providing a blend of succulent flavors between every ingredient. The Pleurotus was alluring with its fusion of ingredients, surprising enough everything went well together even though I’m not a fan of some of the ingredients individually. The arroz, kale and espinafre plate was rich and slightly heavier than I expected. The sea asparagus was the highlight for me as its texture provided the perfect balance in the dish.
Unfortunately the Parfait de Morango wasn’t to my likening due to the cold overbearing the flavor and the dislike in its semi solid form.
The waiters and chefs provided a cozy atmosphere and it was a good experience.“

“We came to this place for our last dinner in Lisbon. It was Sunday and at 9.30pm we thought we wouldn't find a place anywhere; we stopped here in front and, also following the advice of a couple of tourists (even if they seemed to be regular customers), we decided to go in.
We didn't regret it. The menu is not very rich (there are only four main dishes), but the quality is excellent. The house "bacalhau" is recommended. The owner is very nice and seems to manage everything himself. He recommended the wine to accompany the meal and at the end he prepared some delicious crepes suzette in front of us with his mobile stove. Highly recommended.“

“Magnifique restaurant et surtout bar à vins avec une cave extraordinaire, dans un cadre chaleureux.
Les tapas et plats sont très élaborés et faits maison, à partager ou en solo.
Les conseils du serveur sur le choix des vins est très pertinent, il était à l’écoute de nos goûts et a su trouver les bons accords mets/vins.
Service un peu long cependant avec un restaurant bondé.
Réservation conseillée.“

“This experience felt like a warm farewell hug to end my time in Lisbon. I stopped by at dinner time hours before my flight back home. I wanted to end my trip with a wine tasting and found this place on Google. I decided to try it based on the reviews. The overall experience exceeded my expectations. The owner was kind, welcoming, and attentive. I chose 3 plates I was interested in and he decided the order in which to serve them and what wine to pair them with. The flavors of everything were unreal. I might still be riding a little bit of a high from this experience. Absolutely stop by here during your trip.“

“Ordered a cheese board and some sangrias. The sangrias were great! It was made beautifully and filled with a lot of fresh fruit. Cheese board was good with a tasty selection of cheeses, some nuts and raisins. My only wish was that there was a slight bit more cheese! ?“

“Very good restaurant with a pleasant terrace,
We came across it by chance and all the dishes were good, mostly Italian cuisine.
And impeccable service
And the kitchen closes at 11 a.m., so later than the average in Lisbon
Vegetarian options: Veggie starters and veggie main course
I recommend the lasagna“

“Fantastic food and very friendly service. Everything we ordered tasted excellent: 2 bowls, the taccos and the tartare
Unfortunately, due to construction work in the adjacent building, some places in the restaurant don't smell good. But we were immediately taken to a better place“

“The food is amazing! The arroz de marisco is delicious with a hint of coriander, and the shrimp pasta is flavorful, though the spaghetti could be more al dente. The attendants were kind and considerate. one didn’t rush me when I was browsing the menu before deciding to dine. The other offered us ginja, a Portuguese liqor made by infusing ginja berries. Everything we tried is first time and we love it!“

“The best steak I've had on my whole trip! If you're a steak lover, don't miss this spot. We also got a bottle of the red wine blend Dao which was delightful (dry yet rich).
They were accommodating to my food sensitivities and I'll probably go back tomorrow for another steak!“

“We did the classic review spiral before going to Loco and had hesitated after seeing some of what was written. We decided to just go for it, and I'm so glad we did!! It was an amazing experience. We have never had such attentive service (they even noticed my husband was left handed and rearranged his place setting!). On top of that, the food was so creative and dynamic. They're zero waste mentality was exceptional. I loved that they kept coming back to it to show how they use the whole ingredient. Definitely recommend doing the wine pairing, as they are very generous pours and really enhanced the food and experience.“

“Fantastic little gem in Alfama. So many restaurants claim delicious food but this one delivers! We had the duck stew and grandmother's stew - both were so flavorful!
We just wished we had bigger stomachs for more food!“

“Very nice hidden gem if you ask me. The food was amazing, we had different tapas that we shared and we did not discover one we did not love.
Vegetarian options: A lot of vegetarion options on the tapas menu! But mostly with cheese (no problem for us), like goat, camenbert, gratin and burrata.“
“I went to this yesterday with my family and we loved the food ,service, ambiance and specially the live music . I would also like to point out that they have around 400 References of local Portuguese wine from the all the regions of the country. Thank you team of grapes and bites for this amazing experience we would love to visit again“
“The person who took me there was a friend. When I got there I was "knock out" with the place. Simply divine. For those who like a "Vintage" environment, you will feel at home. For those who don't like it, you'll enjoy it anyway....“

“Had dinner last night with 4 people. We enjoyed several starters (oysters, green beans in tempura, cod fritters and potato chips with skin) and main courses (seared tuna with sweet potato purée, cod a bras, golden cod and octopus on a bed of sweet potatoes), all excellent . Really great beer and sangria. The desserts are also tasty (biscuit cake and brownies with caramel). Very friendly and helpful service with tourists. Very pleasant place both inside and outside.
Very recommended.“

“During our stay in Lisbon, my boyfriend and I came across this restaurant by chance. A pleasant surprise. A warm welcome, a manager who takes great care of his customers and servers who are also very smiling and welcoming. He took the time to explain each dish to us, and the menu really makes you want to taste everything. It was so good that we came back the next day before we left. A real favorite for this place. The dishes are delicious and the prices are reasonable. The place is clean, and as an added bonus, they speak French. We will come back with great pleasure on occasion.“

“Had a talk with Nahid (our waiter) after we finished our food. A very nice guy who treated us very well and was very pleasant!
I can very recommend the Number 11 “Gambas e Mexilhão à la guillo” they come in a very nice vine’ish sauce that tastes incredible! It’s a good place to drink a bottle of wine, because the tram 28E is passing by and the prices are very acceptable for lisbon’s old town!“
“Founded in the 15th century as a farm, the current space offers us a charming garden where pools with water jets are discovered between paths in the refreshing shade of wisteria pergolas and other plants.
A large pool of tidal water from the river bringing fish at high tide, surrounded by banks with beautiful Azulejos, unfortunately degraded by time, is very original!
Small corners very different from each other and shell ornaments
Clean toilets.
A very pleasant and quiet place!“

“Very good service, very quick to serve and very efficient!
The food was excellent, very well prepared and the prices were fair, taking into account the area where the restaurant is located.
Restaurant with Spanish roots, for those who like it, the ideal is to eat tapas.
I recommend it ??“

“Nice place located on the opposite shore from Lisbon. Just in front. Nice views, although somewhat distant.
Good treatment from the staff. They are attentive and ask you if everything is okay.
The food is very delicious. All tasty. Maybe the chicken fingers are a little dry. But let's keep in mind that they are that; chicken fingers (we ask little Alicia who eats almost nothing).
The prices are pretty good, except for the drinks. A coffee at 2.90 or 25cl bottles of water at 1.60 each seem expensive to me. Without mentioning the red fruit sangria, which is enough for 5 glasses, at 18 euros.
But I don't want to tarnish a good dinner we enjoyed.
It is a nice place, with good food, well located and with good prices in general.
Place to try and surely repeat.“

“So many encounters
An absolutely exquisite atmosphere. The servers welcomed us and a strong bond was formed between our group of customers and our 2 wonderful servers.
Joke after joke, they were at the forefront of humor but always without exceeding the limits of courtesy.
The food was tasty and we were able to discover local specialties.
Little extra: the interior is decorated with pipes and creates a really nice atmosphere
Bom Dia!“
“I just walked across this restaurant while exploring the central Lisbon area, and I absolutely adored the food here I think it was one of the best meals I had in Lisbon. They serve a wide array of different tapas, and they have a great wine selection as well. I cannot emphasize how delicious the food was here, and I even enjoyed the octopus croquettes more than I enjoy the croquet in Spain. We also ordered some truffle risotto and jam and cheese on toast, all of which were so yummy. The staff was also friendly, and the service was fast. Most importantly, the location here is great so you could stop for a quick bite to eat and nice drinks while exploring the neighborhood. They have a very nice outdoor seating area. “We spent the Valentine’s Day here. It was possible only with reservations and a special menu. Atmosphere was very lovely,(we also had live music), service friendly and the food very tasty. The wine from the imposed menu was not ok for us, but we chose a sparkling wine, extra charge. Overall - I would surely recommend it!“

“We loved EVERYTHING!!???
A super cool and tastefully decorated terrace, and with a garden, an Oasis in Seixal.
João very attentive and friendly.
Delicious food, the BEST bacalhau a Brás that we have already eaten, large pieces of cod and very juicy.
The 'bochechas' are very delicious with beer sauce.
It will be a mandatory stop every time we come on vacation.“

“We had a nice dinner. I recommend the shrimp curry with rice. It has a soft nice flavour. Nice server which explained us some of dishes.
I would say it would be nice if they’d play some music in the background. We were here quite early and alone at the beginning so that would’ve been nice.“

“The food is good, but I have to mention the sweet potato fries, which are packaged, in a restaurant with this category it doesn't make sense.
As for the service, the employees are friendly, but the waiting time is significant.
The atmosphere is good.“

“We were here late one night, and we had a great time with the fado music with great food.
We arrived past 10 pm on a Monday night, so we expected that there's not going to be a crowd. Our hotel is nearby and we always notice this place is packed at night but it turned out we were the only group there that time We were worried that there won't be any fado anymore since there'sonly us, but the live fado still did a set and felt like a private show for us. We enjoyed every song they did.
We ordered the tomahawk and the octopus dishes. The tomahawk was cooked medium rare, although we were not asked - not sure if this is normal since it was our first and the only order of steak during our trip. It came with breaded calamari and shrimps, which were all grilled/fried perfectly and tasted great. The octopus was cooked tender, not chewy, with the full flavor of the grill and spices. Since it's already really late, we skipped on the potatoes and fries but later found them to be too salty.
The staff are very friendly and attentive but of course, maybe bec there was only us in there at the time.
Quick note - they take cash only.
Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a fado restaurant that won't break the bank. They may not be the best fado, but we still got our fill of it.“

“Absolute recommendation, off the beaten path in a small alley, great tapas, very nice atmosphere, friendly waiters and no mass tourism. We would come back at any time. Where the waiters eat their own food during the break, it has to be good and authentic. Special requests are also taken into account if you want to change or add something to the dishes. Thumbs up for Mercearia Castello and thank you for a great afternoon.“

“We came for dinner at the old house, we liked it, affordable prices, food cooked to order, hence the wait to receive it. I don't give it five stars just for two reasons, one of which was that I spent some time waiting for them to give me the menu, something that took less than a minute to do, took a long time and the lack of seasoning in the food, they are afraid of adding salt and pepper, otherwise, nothing to point out. The girl who waits tables is super friendly.“
