Very good food, well served, good wine list
I recommend it
We had a nice dinner. I recommend the shrimp curry with rice. It has a soft nice flavour. Nice server which explained us some of dishes.
I would say it would be nice if they’d play some music in the background. We were here quite early and alone at the beginning so that would’ve been nice.
A pleasant place in front of the Archaeological Museum.

Carmo Restaurant & Bar offers a delightful dining experience in a superb interior setting with comfortable chairs, elegant decor, and attentive staff. The menu features high-quality and generous portions, beautifully presented. Highlights include the delicious morcela (blood sausage), the tasty pistachio cake and ice cream, and the satisfying burger and pesto pasta dishes. The restaurant's prime location near Chiado Park adds to the lively, historical atmosphere. Guests can enjoy outdoor seating across the street, which is a special treat. The staff provides excellent service, with waiters offering spot-on recommendations. Visitors have praised the Cod Carpaccio, Shrimp in Curry sauce with rice, and the Pistachio trio dessert. While the prices are slightly higher than average for Portugal, the excellent food and service make it well worth the visit. Whether for a special occasion or a casual meal, Carmo is a must-try destination that leaves guests enchanted and eager to return.
