“Visited on our last night of our holiday. Booked the night before as I was concerned it was going to be a Friday night, it was pretty busy but as we had younger children we were first in at 19:00 when they opened. We had a nice table outside which is much cooler than inside. Most of us had the piri piri chicken which we all thought was really good. It’s on the bone but cut into chunks. Small menu, which isn’t a bad thing, included some children’s dishes. Overall a really nice evening and would recommend“

“I have been in Portugal for 20 days in various places but this is the best restaurant I have frequented.
Simple in its appearance but delicious in the preparation of the menu which was abundant and superlative.
Good wine and appetizers offered at the entrance are truly excellent and not just for presentation.
The bill was very honest and the staff very friendly even though I don't know the Portuguese language at all. Thank you with all my heart!“

CHICKEN whenever we want to devour this delicate bird. Can you see the size of the legs? Here the meat comes in minimal pieces, juicy and crispy. Served with potatoes, salad and a wine cellar to match!
The mecca of chicken "suckling pig" is in Guia and its surroundings! Don't fall for imitations!

“We came across this hidden gem of a restaurant across the motorhome...does not look that great on the outside but oh boy GO IN! and try the food. Sr.Antonio and his wife (Fernanda) were very friendly and service was 10+. The food was delecious and made to perfection. We tried it for lunch and dinner unfortunately found this place the day before leaving had I found it earlier would have gone there for all our meals. We look forward to going there again soon in April 2025.“

“I live 20-40 meters above this restaurant, the food is awesome, the 4.5 stars are justified reviews. 4.5 euros for such a large piece of chicken in my image, different sauce over chicken too, the chicken has a very gooey feel. Chicken which is tough like satay is nice, KFC fillets are extra soft but, this gooey one really in awesome. Whenever I pop in and out of my apartment there are people coming in and out of cars to eat there more regularly.“

“Warm, friendly restaurant, the typical Portuguese cuisine is a treat. Go there with your eyes closed. Very good value for money. The staff are lovely. We went there several times during our vacation and we were always very well served and very good, I especially recommend the grilled chicken which is delicious and the freshly caught fish which are a treat! It's a change from the tourist traps of the seaside!“

“Brasas is spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. The food is excellent in a very Portuguese grill/barbacue way. We had grilled baby squid and also grilled chicken... both excellent. Service is outstanding. Beers and beer glasses are super chilled. Highly recommend“

“Super tasty food, definitely recommended for a cheap meal on the strip. I bought chicken wings with fries for €7.50, and they look exactly like the photos in the other reviews. Soft drinks are €2.50, which is also a good price, and you can also order delicious salads for €3.00. Even if you are already full enough from a full plate of one of the main courses.

“Loved this place. The atmosphere was incredible with live music and a very homely feel. The staff are very attentive and kind. The food was lovely and authentic; definitely freshly made. The chips especially were incredible. Prices were solid too, meals around €10 each and soft drinks were all around €2.50. We turned up without a booking and they were full so we booked for a future date, so definitely book in advance.

Had the chicken bitoque which I'd never had before but it was great.

Would definitely return and recommend.

“Great piri piri frango and very well priced. The delicious fries. The tomato salad was abundant and very rich too. Only two waitresses for the entire place, which was full; They were overwhelmed with work but very fast and very friendly. To return without a doubt!“

The prices are ultra superb affordable, 2 fried skewers €8.50 fried sea bream €10. The staff speaks English and there is always someone who speaks French inside just in case. Super pleasant moment. For the price, we came back several times. Bring cash because no credit card.“
