“Carvoeiro Bar is een bekende van ons. Elk keer dat we naar Carvoeiro gaan, bezoeken wij altijd deze bar. Het is er gezellig en de eigenaar, Bob, zorgt er altijd voor dat er iets te zien of te vieren valt, zoals live muziek, karaoke of zoals dit keer ook de EK. Er komen hier veel landgenoten, Nederlanders dus. Kortom, het is een bar voor gezelligheid, nieuwe contacten maken en lekker drinken. Leuk weetje: Bob maakt de gehaktballen zelf. Zeer de moeite waard om dat er te eten. Ik vond het zelf heel lekker! ?“

“A fantastic bar playing great, northern soul and motown tunes. Owners Sue and Jennifer were brilliant really friendly and welcoming. A good range of drinks including cocktails all reasonably priced , nice and relaxing atmosphere with lovely customers. “If you want to listen to good music, it's here!At 9:30 pm they sacrifice a goat on the terrace and we drink a few shots of bloody medronho and the party begins. Party ends with the sacrifice of a chicken on the bar counter at 4 am in honor of the horned one! No kidding, one of the best metal bars and a very good atmosphere, compared to other customers they are very friendly and lively, I really like the decor. The bar also has a darts machine, which makes everything much better and addictive! ❤️“

“I come here whenever I’m in Carvoeiro, usually more than once every time I’m in the area. The food is fantastic, and the service is always really nice. I have never been disappointed by the choice to eat here and it wasn’t the last time! Big thumbs up.“

“What a great find, we loved our dining experience here! As a designer, I have to first point out the beautiful architectural details in this restaurant. The building is very old, and it has some of the most gorgeous Torrazzo and brass inlay floors I've ever seen, and the plaster on the walls was incredible. It even had Venetian style plaster details, whoever did this space is probably no longer with us. This type of Plaster work is only done by very few people these days. That said, it was a fantastic French vibe, the pictures online do not do this space justice. It is way cuter inside! I love a linen tablecloth. I love that the servers all had white pressed shirts on. The menu was exactly what you would expect for French fair, it was very traditional and served on white plates. Everything we ate was delicious. The crabcake was definitely crab forward, no filler here. My husband had the white fish and I had the steak frites, we switched entrées halfway through so that we could each try each other's and everything was delicious! We were sat at a two top in the same room as the bar and I loved watching the bartender make all the cocktails to order. That was very impressive. This is just a personal note, but when my husband and I go out for dinner, sometimes we are sat at a two top and when this typically happens, we're normally joined by another couple at some point in the reservation. Now this doesn't bother my husband and I because we always like to eavesdrop and listen to everyone's conversations, and we were lucky enough that the couple next to us was on a second or third date and it was not going well. 😂😂 entertaining for us to say the least but if you're someone that really wants a private dinner, this might not be the restaurant for that, as the tables are close together. We came to Hemingway‘s because we were going to a candlelight show at the art center across the street, we will absolutely be back. This was such a spectacular date night!! We will be back!“

“Great bar which serves English type food, great selection of beers and spirts at great prices compared to the town centre. Ideal place to watch sports and also play darts and a quiz on a Wednesday. Big mention to Sarah who always makes you feel welcome and nothing is to much trouble.“

“For those who like good prices, fast service and enjoying the diversity of products, I recommend it. Beers have more than 5 types, ciders more than 3, varied cocktails, from the most classic to the most current. Good quality wines. The kitchen serves tapas, wraps, burgers and a kids menu.

“Very attentive staff, fantastic food and nice location!

There were a group of 7 of us and we had a mixed selection of starters and mains, with 3 of us having excellent steaks. All the food was top quality and cooked expertly. This is definitely a case of quality over quantity, and I’d recommend booking in to this excellent restaurant.

“So close to the beach. I love how you can walk up to the display right from the sidewalk. I went with a double scoop in a cone, 4€. This way I can have 2 flavors. I'm efficient that way. First I selected one that had banana and was offered a sample first. I'm glad that she offered me a sample. It wasn't my favorite. So I decided to have the Snickers and Cheesecake. Both silky and creamy but I have to say that the Cheesecake was absolutely delicious.

Wheelchair accessibility: The sidewalks are typical Portugal sidewalks, but you can get right up to the counter and there are several tables outside.“

“When I went it was quite full. The service seems a little chaotic, each time a different waiter served us. Some spoke Portuguese, others did not.

I wasn't very hungry and I only ate two mini angus burgers. They were perfect! Very good indeed.“

“Great view, not rude but not nice service. Fresh tasting chicken sandwich. Nothing crazy but is made with quality ingredients. Draft beer is cold with frosted mugs. Never could go wrong having those glasses extra frosted tho. Thank you and can’t wait till I pull up again with the fam.“
