“It’s not often to find kind waiters, many of them of doing this job just to have a job, but our waiter which I unfortunately were not able to get the name was sooooo kind, attentive to details, like bringing 2 forks (one for me and one little one for my little boy), like bringing a spoon for my tonic water. He was often entertaining my little boy making him laugh by giving him high 5’s. You can see he has a passion for what he does and happy in life. I’m returning for sure and hope to be served by that friendly kind and welcoming face of our waiter ?“

“Although it is not the best known and recommended pastry shop for those visiting the center of Mafra, it is undoubtedly the best. It has one of the best delicacies we've ever eaten called "Mafarrico". The cornbreads are also very good, and the miniatures are also divine. The staff is super friendly.“

“A charming place that barely remains today. The people of the town were super friendly and approachable and the people who run the bar couldn't be more charming. The mixed toast is recommended, it is still a toast with cheese and ham, but it will not leave you indifferent.
A more than recommended place to visit and make a stop to have a good breakfast.“
“Had an awesome, extra toasty sandwich here. The location of where this is does seem rejected and definitely not the most inviting area, doesn’t help when theres chatty af portuguese dudes taking up the whole cafe with their voices. Still worth swinging by for the value of which ya get great sandwiches here.“

“I had the (arroz de pato) duck on rice dish and it was very good and the portion was fair enough for a lunch dose. Affordable price overall. Very friendly staff. A good quick stop place if you feel hungry on your way to the beach or when visiting Sintra.
Parking: Hard to park but you will manage something closeby... there are small secondary roads c3ossing thus one. Remember that this entrance is right on top to the main, so daily traffic is intense but not noisy.“

“Excellent space in Venda do Pinheiro. The place defines itself as a Café and Bistro. The options to taste are very interesting, combining healthy dishes and Portuguese cuisine. And despite the space being small, we easily forget due to the creative decoration (a bit retro) and with good doses of friendliness in the service.“

“(Translated by Google) Honest and genuine space rooted in the life of a small town at the foot of the Sintra mountains. It has a small terrace where, on the hottest days of the year, mixed toasts with oregano, saucers of snails and well-roasted snails fly. To push, there are some very fresh imperials. Inside, it is common to find lively groups around a cheese and sausage board. On Fridays, as it is Euromillions day, it is difficult to park. Simple and friendly people who serve well and with quality. Excellent option to cool off the afternoon when you are in the Abrunheira region of Sintra.(Original)Espaço honesto e genuíno enraizado na vida de uma pequena localidade no sopé da serra de Sintra. Lá dentro é comum encontrar grupos animados à volta de uma tábua de queijos e enchidos. Às 6as feiras por ser dia de Euromilhões é difícil de estacionar. “Best pastel de nata! Highlights: - Pastel de nata: our walking tour guide recommended it and we liked it better than the shops that specialize in them. Creamy yet light with a flaky crust and perfect with your own dash of cinnamon on top. 5 stars - Wine and cocktail list - Inside and outside seating - Pay at the counter Lowlights: - Closed on Sundays: wish I could have gotten some more Not sure how the rest of their food is, but loved the pastry so would try other things as well.“

“(Comment in Portuguese and English)I visited this pastry shop many times when I lived in Mafra. What attracted me most about it was the friendliness of the owner! Every day he writes an inspirational quote on a board to lift his customers' spirits. He treats everyone in a welcoming way, tells stories and makes us feel like we belong. There are already few establishments where we feel like we are part of the family. The coffee is very good, the muffins and sandwiches too and the prices are fair. I love going to this cafe and highly recommend it.*************************I visited this coffee shop many times when I lived in Mafra. What attracted me most was the friendliness of the owner! “Slighly outside of the touristy areas, but right into the “artsy” district of SP, this is a place where you can eat and drink like a proper Paulista, amongst the locals! The whole restaurants is full of football memorabilia with many scarves from teams from all over the world… I think if your team is not there and you show up with a little banner or something, they will put it on the wall too! Food is amazing, you have to try the steak (advertised in the menu as the typical dish)“

“Cafe Búzios is way more than just a wonderful coffee shop and a restaurant, this place has a soul. It is simple, unique and authentic, in all the best ways. We were looking for a really good coffee and we found it here, but more importantly, we found Teresa and Pedro, some of the greatest people we have ever met. Spending time with them was a blessing, they made us feel like locals and treated us like friends. Stopping for a coffee, a drink, a meal, but especially a talk, became part of our daily routine and our favorite time of the day. We will never forget our conversations, the time we spent there and the memories we made. It is impossible to write a review to describe this place and encompass everything, it will inevitably be reductive. We simply wish Cafe Búzios were everywhere, all over the world, so if you can, just check it out ;)“

“Busy little cafe. Food was ok. Service a little confused, but thats down to my lack of portuguese. Toasted sandwiches big enough for two people. Soup was pretty good. Steak sandwich ok.
Looked like lots of people buying takeaway, mainly cakes i think.“
“This is without a doubt one of the BEST bakeries (pastelaria) I have seen anywhere on my travels! The selection of cakes is amazing and my partner says the pastal de nata here are one of the best he's ever tasted. The staff are efficient and helpful. The coffee is good too. It's very popular with locals as well, which is always a good sign. Absolutely recommend!“
