We chose this restaurant based on the reviews and photos that seemed quite appealing, however we were quite disappointed.
As soon as we entered, the smell of food inside was quite intense and sickening, we decided to stay on the terrace and luckily it was pleasant weather for that.
The all-you-can-eat dinner menu costs 21€99 any day of the week, drinks and desserts aside (normal, but a little more expensive than the all-you-can-eat prices we normally see) but there were items on the menu that added €1 /€2/€3/€4 depending on the item, which sometimes also happens, but sashimi for example added €2, as did grilled salmon, which doesn't make much sense.
The sushi arrived and the appearance was no longer as expected, and from the first piece we were disappointed - the pieces had too much rice, the rice tasted too much like vinegar, the cut of the fish wasn't the best as it was quite thick and didn't taste good. when fresh, the avocado was too ripe and fell apart in a rather sickening way.
Positive note for the employees who were very friendly and helpful.
We understand why the reviews are “so good” because right at the beginning of the menu it is mentioned that they reduce €1 per person in the price of the carvery/meal per publication of an evaluation/criticism of the restaurant.
We won't go again.

It's certainly one of the best Japanese restaurants in Coimbra. The food is very good, and the price/quality ratio is quite fair.
The environment, especially the outside, is very pleasant and makes you feel very comfortable.
The service is also good, although it can sometimes take a while.
In general, it has become one of my favorite restaurants and whenever I'm in Coimbra I find a way to stop by.
I highly recommend it!

After MALTA's victory (who is this...?) we came to the victory lunch. New faces, old faces, current faces. But the situation at the moment is the raw fish that was placed on the table… how DELICIOUS!!!! Today we have everything!! CAP Silvio came back, the tramp hid behind me, and the food hid in our bellies!! More food than we can eat, we no longer go to sushi……. this week ;) Top, props
