Ilha do Arroz - Restaurante Lounge Bar offers a delightful dining experience with a stunning beachfront location. The menu features quality dishes with generous portions, including kid-friendly options such as a burger with egg, rice, and fries. Guests can enjoy excellent fish and seafood specialties, like hake with tomato rice and gambas, paired with fine Douro white house wine. The restaurant has a large, free parking lot and provides a warm welcome at any hour.
The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the head of the room is excellent. The place has a wonderful location in front of the sea, and the terrace is spacious and cozy. The mosquitoes and the wind can be a problem, but the staff quickly addressed this by providing a table inside the establishment, which is also quite cozy.
The food is exceptional, with the Cataplana of fish, clams, and razor clams being a standout dish, and the apple crumble for dessert being one of the best. The prices are a little above average, but it's all worth it for the incredible experience.
