So, we took the ferry and walked the long walk along the waterfront and just turned up, with an hour to go before the advertised closing time and that Fickle Finger of Fate (as they used to say on Laugh In) smiled down on us and a table was found. The legend and the hype (thanks Phil) paled into insignificance, compared to the real thing. The food was exquisite, the location, the setting, the friendly staff, the sun shining and sparkling on the water. It was definitely worth taking a chance and I'd do it again in an instant.
