Advance reservation.

First of all. Magma is the restaurant of the Senhora Da Rosa hotel. We had a hard time finding the entrance to the restaurant because we couldn't see the sign.
We decided on the 4-course tasting menu (€45) and the 5-course tasting menu (€55) and a wine tasting with each dish (€25).
We started with a black pudding croquette as a starter, followed by a pineapple ravioli with shrimp, a regional fish tartar, risotto with another regional fish (veja fish), a piece of beef on mashed sweet potato (I think it was sweet potato) and carrot and we finish with a scoop of ice cream with pineapple, on a Gorreana Tea cookie.

Everything was delicious, the price of good cuisine is worth paying and the Alfonsos duo made our dinner very pleasant!

Special mention to the shrimp and pineapple ravioli (be careful, it's spicy) and the rice with octopus

The food was very good, we had the 5 course vegan menu. Some dishes were more delicious than others, but all in all totally fine!
And amazing, that they serve vegan food.
Wine was excellent!

Dietary restrictions: Vegan möglich.

My family and I went here for my birthday dinner and were quite impressed! Nice atmosphere, lovely service, and delicious food. It was normal priced I’d say (although I’m from California), probably a bit on the pricier side for Sao Miguel but worth it! The vegan options were tasty and the dessert was a must-have! Note that portions are fairly small but still filling. Would recommend 😊

This restaurant is located inside of Senhora da Rosa hotel. It has an menu with some labelled vegan options. I was there during the day and their adapted the lunch menu with vegan dishes. A bit on a pricy side, but staff was very helpful.

Nice place. Not enough staff. Food came out cold. Waiter never came back to check until meal was over. Would not return as I like my food at least warm.
