O Chalavar is a traditional Portuguese restaurant offering a rustic atmosphere. Customers can watch their raw fish and seafood selection being grilled over wooden embers. The steakhouse allows you to see directly the meat and fish counter, you choose and they bring it to your table cooked only on the grill. It is a cheap and typical place. Highly recommended, nothing fancy or pretentious. Good fish, meat and seafood. You choose them yourself from the cold stores and they put them on the embers very quickly. It is a fair and reasonable price. One of the best value for money meals. Pick your fish they grill it and the sides of bread, salad and potatoes are included. Sea Bream was cooked to perfection. Salad and potatoes were nice, the fries were homemade style. Great atmosphere and service.
