“We returned to this beautiful place after two years, bringing some friends with us. We remembered having an excellent Mirandesa steak, and ordered it again this time. Unfortunately it was nothing like the meat we had already enjoyed, this time it was rather tasteless. My friend, a butcher by trade, made some very precise observations on the quality and type of cut, conclusion... we made a fool of ourselves. “One out of two options of restaurants that close at 23:00 after visiting and staying and praying in the Chapel of Apparitions and Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, I would definitely make this my first choice if I had to choose all over again.

Tourists keep in mind it is European service where you seat yourself and the waiter comes to you ready to take your order unless you ask for a menu. The menu comes in either Portuguese or English.

Our waiter Antonio was on top of his job by making sure all our dishes were served hot and fresh as they slowly made their way onto the table. In Europe, this is normal where the dishes are served immediately after preparing one by one instead of all together at once which keeps the freshness of the dish.

My dad ordered a steak on the medium rare side while me and my mom ordered soup of the day which was fish butternut squash soup. The meats are priced by kilogram, but a normal portion or one order is around 300 grams, which is about 1/3 the size of the kilogram for those who are not familiar with European menus.

The salad we ordered had a vinegar dressing which to us is extremely delicious! The soup and salad were out of this world. I also ordered a side of French fries which were served thinly sliced and freshly made, never frozen. TO DIE FOR.

Oh! And also the cappuccino I ordered was so cute the way it was presented with cinnamon and frothed so elegantly in the traditional European cup, saucer, mixing spoon, and sugar on the side.

All in all, give this place a visit! They’re open late and also have the Euro Futbol game on like when we went for the Portugal vs. Slovenia match!
