“We got the Brunch for 2 and we loved it. The balance between sweet and savory food is just right. The eggs were done well enough not to make a mess when eating the bread, and the onions were caramelized very well. One element for improvement is that the peanut butter was too thick, and when combined with the pancake, was too difficult to chew.

The staff is really nice and friendly, and good vibe/music.

“We went here two times during our stay. The first time we were pleasantly surprised by the innovative and well-thought menu, followed by its high quality. They exceeded my and my hubby's expectations and the daily dish with tuna felt as tender as wagyu beef and just melted on the tongue. An excellent octopus salad for starters, well seasoned as expected.
Fantastic kebab of properly grilled squid and shrimp accompanied by fries and a generous salad. Very good black pork kebab.
The walnut pie for dessert was not appealing.
The service is affable, friendly and very efficient.
Velho Novo has a new customer here who hopes to become old by returning and recommending.”

“Pleased I didn’t read reviews before we ate there. Food was great, excellent starters, main courses of sardines, sea bass and penne bolognese, all great. Aperol spritz was one of the best mixed and only 6 euros for a decent size glass. The place was quiet, probably because everyone uses trip advisor prior to t trying. Couldn’t fault the food, drinks or service. Give them a try they deserve a chance.”

“Absolutely deserves it status at a top restaurant. Had a taster menu and it was delicious from start to finish.

I’ve chosen not to post all courses so save the surprises but my stand outs were the squid dish which is probably in my top five dishes of all time. And also the orange tree.

Service and the experience was impeccable. Deserves the star.

“Friendly and caring staff, it only gets 3 stars due to poor reservation management. Of the 2 times I went there, one only accepted reservations until 12:30 pm... the other only after 9:30 pm and they still made me wait 45 minutes with people without appointments passing by.”
