50 Best Seafood Restaurants near Ferragudo

“We were recommended to the O Barril from our hotel and TripAdvisor but that was fully booked due to the football games playing in the square so my partner and I discovered this hidden gem.
We tend to avoid the typical tourist restaurants catered more to the English as we are on holiday and want to try new things. This place was what we were after great food and service.
My partner had Portuguese steak and potato, which she loved so I had a tiny bit to try and it was really nice. I decided to order the same meal the night after but in O Barril..this was far from as nice.
The menu is a bit pricier that some of the other places to eat but we managed to get a table outside, and we were able to watch the sunset and thought it was really worth the price. Brilliant meal to start off our holiday.“

They exceeded my and my hubby's expectations and the daily dish with tuna felt as tender as wagyu beef and just melted on the tongue. “Fantastic location next to the beach and sea. We had the prawns in garlic and oil, served with rice on the side. Tasted very good, but not particular spicy (which we like) but they give you piri-piri on the side if you want to spice it up. A bit more expensive than average, I guess you get to pay a bit for the view.... I recommend this place.“

It's lovely to have music on in a restarant it brings good vibes
The best part of going to this restarant today with my family because I could get a lovely view of the boats on the sea moving across the sea and see the speed boats rushing along the sea
This restarant gets it's first 5 star rating for amazing and lovely staff lovely view of the sea wonderful music for a summer holiday very lovely food

“High quality fish, they grill it and it is very tasty. We ordered salmon, sardines, sea bream and calamari (lulinhas) and everything was incredible. Friendly staff. I recommend asking the waiter since there are more options than what is on the menu. Unbeatable prices, for us it was €15 per person. The only thing wrong with the place is that it is quite hot inside even though they had the air conditioning on. We will repeat for sure.“

“Great food, far too slow to get a menu and to get food (about an hour wait after ordering). Lots of waffle from the waiter after he told us we were next and we watched for 30 minutes as plates left the kitchen, but nothing for us. It's to be expected that you may need to wait this time of year (the same happened last year and that is OK), but this was excessive and we would have preferred if they were honest with us. Better to say, "Sorry for the delay, it will be another 30 minutes" - we never asked, he volunteered to mislead us.
That said, the food was excellent - but we didn't take the chance of having to wait an hour for desert.“

Both my wife and I considered Carvi is the very best place to eat in town.The grilled octopus is absolutely the most delicious dish we have. “What s fabulous family run restuarant. A big thank you ( Obrigada ) Nicha & her family who made us so welcome from booking the table till the end of our meal. We booked outside but as the weather had changed Nicha suggested a small cosy table just inside still with a good view of the sea. We decide to share so started with a fresh crab pate ?followed by prawn gratin ( stuffed full of fresh prawns) so delicious Then we had the most amazing Tiger prawns cooked to perfection. “A very warm welcome to a classy but casual restaurant. After being seated we were shown a platter of fish caught locally that day to help us choose! Very tasty starters followed by superb fish mains and fresh veg. I could actually taste the sea in my bream. Could see the kitchen from our table - it all looked relaxed. Reasonably priced Algarve wine to accompany. After coffees we were offered complimentary glasses of port. Superb food, great staff and fantastic value especially for the quality on offer.“

“First things first, three stars doesn’t mean the service was bad (you don’t have to give 5 stars for everything) or that the atmosphere was poor. Both were good, there just wasn’t any scope for it to be better (through no fault of anyone). The food was great, my wife had a fantastic tiger prawn which was delicious, my son had crab for the first time and it was an event. Crab is always tasty but he got such a kick out of it that it would have been worth twice the price. I chose the Iberian pork which while tasty was only chosen to give the other two a fallback option if they didn’t like their crustaceans. Needless to say I won’t make that mistake again as the shellfish feckers (see what I did there, I know- hilarious) polished them off.“

The three of us, two adults and a teenager, ate for 43. euros, the price included 4 (!!) side dishes like a buffet, hot - fish for adults, the teenager ate a very large piece of meat with his side dish, white wine 0.5 in a jug and compliments from owner. “The experience went super super well, I'm not giving any more stars because there are no more than 5?

We went at 9pm, very well served, super attentive, we ate garlic shrimp, beef chops, cuttlefish and everything was divine, we also ate bitsoques, the only thing that would improve was the French fries which instead of being industrial would become homemade, but overall it went well. It's ok, you're super friendly, the environment is peaceful.
I will definitely be back.

I went back to this restaurant almost two years ago because I loved the fish soup, and today there was no fish soup, but we ordered monkfish rice and seafood rice ?? “We came in on a Saturday for lunch and got a multi piece course of different sushi and we were both really impressed by the quality and freshness of the fish and sushi rolls. We both really enjoyed the tempura rolls. Very filling three courses of different sushi and fresh fish, both couldn't eat anymore after!
Our waiter was incredible in describing each course of sushi and an overall really friendly and funny guy, the chefs were incredible and professional in preparing our food and they even make their own soy sauce which was very tasty.
