“I lunch with friends who are not vegan and its often difficult to find a place that offers a good choice of delicious food. This place nailed it! Great situation with fab views. Vegan dish / menu of the day, including vegan cake! Lots of choices. With other restaurants nearby, this was the busy one. with all types of customer. Will be visiting again.“

“In an idyllic setting with a superb view, this restaurant is top notch. The service is quality and the meals are excellent, whether it is the hamburgers or the Frango club house. We arrived as it opened for lunch, and the restaurant quickly filled up. I highly recommend.“

“Excellent beach bar, ideal for eating or drinking something on a day at the beach.. it has an excellent terrace with a panoramic view of Baleal beach, ideal for enjoying a good sunset at the end of the day.. at night it is also a pleasant place to have a drink where at least during the summer season there is always entertainment / DJ at night. I've known the place for at least 14 years and it never disappoints because incredibly over time it hasn't lost its identity!!“

“Somehow every time we're in Peniche ,we sit and look at the beach from the Gamboa Bar . We tried sandwiches ,which were really tasty ,some pastries ( among them of course Pasteis de nata) and of course coffee, also good ,but it is really difficult to drink bad coffee in Portugal ??, I'd even risk a statement ,that coffee here is better than in Italy ?? ( I know it's risky ,but what a hell ?) . The Gamboa bar is a nice place to rest from the sun and wind of the beach . I do recommend the place .“

“Fast and efficient service on the beach, amazing sweet and savory offerings, I tried the ham and honey crepe, it wasn't my style but it was still very good, my mother had a tuna crepe with cooked apples etc. she loved it . The rest of the family had burgers, they were satisfied.“
“Very cool spot, they have a good selection of Portuguese draft beers and other imports. The food was also delicious I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was very well cooked. The bun did not come soggy or was not falling apart so it was an overall great experience. The fries were also perfectly cooked. The owners and workers are very attentive and friendly as well.“

“What a gem! We love music and the name captured us. They serve fantastic cocktails and the service is amazing! We didn’t have any food. We wish we had one of these at home! Highly recommend for a cocktail, good music, fantastic service and friendly kitty we named Phoebe!“

The girl and boy they serve are polite, beautiful and smiling; in the kitchen there is an environment of harmony (which is reflected in the food).
Unfortunately there are two or three regular customers who provoke customers with extremely rude ways: they scream, spit near you, insult you and smash glasses as you pass.....

“Here, what you like most is the location... The terrace is large...shaded in places, sunny in others...and above all you enjoy a beautiful view! Bar service... And if you have noisy table neighbors it's not easy. But the place is worth the detour!“

“We went for lunch and the dishes we chose were well prepared, well presented and well served. The prices are very reasonable for the place (beach bar restaurant) and the pleasant atmosphere. I will definitely come back.

“we drank here every evening on our trip to Alvor. It was great sitting outside watching the world go by. this is not a fancy bar by some people standards but we loved everything about it. great staff. and very local cliental or expats that seem to come back year after year“
“Very good food, we paid 55 per person for a starter, main and desert. They were able to deliver proper gluten free food, the fries were even fried in seperate gluten free oil. The dessert tasted great!
The view is also nice of the golf course and the building was very classy. One point of improvement could be better hygiene in the toilet other than that great experience!

“The best spot in the region after a day of surfing. We won't even talk about the extraordinary atmosphere on this pretty terrace, and as for the end of the day with the sun setting right across the ocean... you too will become addicted and come back every year.
The food is excellent and the service matches the place.
To be reserved for Zen people who will enjoy the view of the ocean and the atmosphere.

The service was exceptionally kind and attentive, making us feel welcomed and valued. However, it was the food that truly stole the show. The dishes were nothing short of amazing. Every bite was bursting with flavors, leaving our taste buds thoroughly satisfied. I also want to give a special shoutout to Joao and Tony, the amazing waiters at the restaurant. Their attentive and friendly service added an extra level of enjoyment to our dining experience. They went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met and provided excellent recommendations from the menu. “Had a great night here a couple of weeks ago and was recommended by a friend who lives in the village. You would probably not come across this fantastic wine bar/restaurant on your own but if you are staying praia del rey area well worth a visit. Joao the owner takes care of you and all the food is fresh authentic Portuguese cuisine . We had a fantastic night in here and there was 11 of us. Highly recommended“

“We have been on vacation for 8 days and every day we have had something, beer, mojito, tequeños, onion rings, we have also eaten hamburgers and burrata salad with roasted vegetables, everything very delicious, very well presented, the atmosphere great, music with DJ, good views, we liked everything! “Amazing spot. The best burgers and chips we had recently! Stuff are the nicest people on earth. Thanks for the best experience and great food. We will be there every time we are around. Too many kids running around in our opinion, but I guess it's just us.“
