“I have been a long time fan of Novo Sabor. Everyday the menu changes and the selections have really improved since it's been under new management. It's a Take-Away establishment and it helps in the busy summer season to call the order in before the pick up. The people working are friendly and helpful even during the rush time. Recently added is the picnic tables outside which is really nice. This is where I ate my yummy California Hamburger with fries. I was told they do local delivery but I haven't tried it yet. Everything is super clean in and out and the prices are very fair.“

The Frango was lightly smoked with a beautiful golden crust and charcoal flavours. The meat was mostly succulent and tender, with a minuscule amount of dry breast. More spice or Piri Piri flavour would have been further appreciated.
Served alongside the Frango was the essential explosion of carbohydrates; Chips, rice and bread. There’s nothing better to soak up all the excess oils from the Frango. The rice was lightly fried in olive oil and the chips had a very neutral potato flavour.
The olives were a good touch, with slightly spicy and garlicky flavours. The salad had a light vinaigrette, white wine vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper.“
“The best barbecue chicken we've ever had! The flavor is natural, as it is seasoned with lemon. It only works to order, which in itself is a guarantee of higher quality. We generally eat chicken without additional sauces. It's a shame it's only open on weekends, but the owners have the right to decide when and how they manage its availability. (It would probably not even be profitable to be open on other days of the week)

“The best roasted chicken in the region, accompanied by pickles and olives with a siberb sauce. There are some good roast chickens, but this one is hands down the best. Then there's the carrot rice, the fried potatoes in salt and the migas. Migas are excellent. The service is fast, very friendly and fun. Try the soups and rice pudding too.“
“I don't think the service method is the best, even when placing an order, we often have to wait almost 40 minutes. But the chicken and cod with cream are really good.
Parking: Parking is very difficult as it is on a narrow street and in front of a pharmacy.“

“The chicken is so good, so good that I had to go twice!!! I recommend the chicken, potatoes and seasoned olives... Everything was wonderful!! The boy who roasts the chicken is super sweet ?, as is the girl who serves... But the girl changed everything with the quantities we asked for and never gives what is actually requested! “Ik durf te zeggen dat ik vanavond sinds lange tijd weer echt ongelooflijk lekker heb gegeten. En dan ook nog een hartverwarmend welkom, zonder reservering. Er staan al kleine hapjes met kaasjes op tafel, wat je eet betaal je, wat je niet eet niet. Logisch toch?! En dan die kaart......alles ziet er lekker uit, dus dan maar een paar vragen stellen. Uitgebreid advies en dan bestellen wij de zwaardvis met kleine schelpjes (clamps), inktvis op een spies en de jongens beide een T-Bone steak.
Wauw, Wauw, Wauw. Wat een heerlijke vis, clamps en inktvis. Kruiden, olijfolie en heel veel knoflook. Je blijft eten, ookal heb je eigenlijk genoeg. T-Bones zijn enorm en super juicy. Ze snappen echt hoe je met liefde kookt en gasten bediend.
Oh ja, komen ze nog even met een dienblad met desserts langs. En dan moet je gewoon een huisgemaakte pannacotta, chocolademousse of limoen cheescake kiezen.........mmmmmmm.

“This is a late review, I was here in 2022, and definitely a great place to visit, the food was great and it felt all home made, the service was also good, I made reservations and so glad I did because the moment I arrived, the restaurant started to get busy, it was dinner and yes it might feel like is in the middle of nowhere, we had a great experience. Overall, I recommend this place. Oh, and our waiter was very nice to call us a taxi, Uber didn't work in that area.“

“Best chicken I ate during our stay in Portugal.The waitress is super super nice. My wife had a stomach ache and she kindly offered a vegetable soup which did her the world of good. “Absolutely divine meal! The best meat I've eaten in a long time. An empty one (with shrimp) and a picanha that leaves you crying for more!! Good passion fruit sangria and everything was so good that (much to my regret) I couldn't find space for the desserts I saw passing by in the room...!!! I would go back more often if I lived nearby (which is not the case), but when I return to the area and the region, I will definitely return to Taberna. “I had the pleasure of visiting this place, on a couples’ date. As it was a large reservation, everything was well organized, with a Valentine's Day theme, fast and super attentive service, classic Portuguese starters. Next, the main course was two dishes, mixed meat, where everything was perfectly cooked and juicy, with a classic accompaniment, and then came the feijoada complete with a different accompaniment, very light in flavor, I highly recommend it, a taste of home.“

“Been to Naco for lunch and dinner several times. One of our favorite restaurants in the Salir and Sao Martinho area. Great selection of quality steaks. We've had multiple different steaks (I like the free range all grass fed from Azores best) from the kitchen and also cooked on the hot stone at the table is fun and allows you to get just the right sear and temperature. Sides and wine selection are fantastic. But by far, the gem of the restaurant is Antonio, the maitre d' and head waiter and his staff. Warm, fun, friendly, knowledgeable. Can't recommend highly enough.“
