Café do Teatro is a nicely located café opposite the city garden. The service is fast, friendly, and attentive, making it a pleasant place to relax and watch people stroll through town. The café offers a range of dishes, including the popular "Bife Atum" and "Prego Especial," which is considered one of the best on the island. Guests can also enjoy the delicious Madeira pizza, very cheesy with lots of chicken and bacon, perfect for sharing. The café serves excellent coffee, including cappuccino, and delicious ice cream. While prices may be slightly higher than other local cafes, the beautiful view of the boulevard and the nearby fountain make the setting enjoyable.
