We went yesterday, Friday, to try to have dinner. At 8:30 there was half a restaurant with empty tables and they told us that they don't have anything free until July 30 ? Why do they have so many tables if they only accept half the capacity? Maybe to save on personnel? Wednesday and Thursday they close, you go on Friday and they have everything full until next week, I understand that not many tourists can eat there if it is with a reservation...

Good food at a decent price. Nice beef and tuna skewers.
The meat was good but nothing else. We were waiting too long for our order and had to ask the waiter all the time what we’ve been missing as they didn’t even react on us.

Too little to eat for the price it is, 5 pieces per skewer? It's not even enough to fill a tooth, dessert also leaves something to be desired and worse, bolo do caco without any typical Madeiran flavor (without butter) the wine is good

Arrived without reservation, staff found a good spot for us for 1.5 hours. Very good beef skewer, comes with a lot of nice side dishes and a desert. I think it’s amazing how it costs less than average in funchal center and tastes much better
Friendly staff

Excellent value for money! Service, food and the house wine was great. I would highly recommend this place.

Took the "fun" out of Funchal.
Mediocre at best. Despite the fact that one could consider this to be fairly good value for money, the food was bland albeit cooked quite nicely.
Definitely a "Brits abroad" spot and not the authentic experience we'd hoped for. Felt rushed as we didn't have a reservation.
A special thanks to the two male waiters that served our table.

The Espetadas were excellent, fast service, the cheesecake was not to my taste and the manager had a view and offered us an apple tartlet which was very good, I highly recommend it.

A great evening in a Madeiran specialty restaurant. Beef and chicken skewers with spicy sauce - tender and moist meat, the chicken slightly caramelized by the spicy sauce but just enough - a starter and a very good tomato-onion soup followed by a dessert. Everything was very good and fresh. A pleasant and very professional welcome, the menus are available in several languages and we even had a waiter who spoke and especially understood French. Truly a place not to be missed. Remember to book, open from Thursday to Sunday in the evening only.
