We got the wrong drinks, our fries were not cooked nearly long enough and our grilled cheese was not melted. Food felt rushed out and not done

We asked for poncha, but they gave us a glass of passion fruit juice, the worst I've had so far in Madeira.
Here there is no art of making the real Madeira poncha and which defines Madeira so much, a shame.
A more than wonderful restaurant with a splendid terrace. They serve very abundant, very tasty and super cheap homemade dishes. Two people can eat and drink abundantly for less than twenty euros. Super recommended.
Vegetarian options: Do you serve vegetarian food.
Dietary restrictions: There are no food restrictions.
Parking: You can only park in the parking lot on the promenade, which is paid.
Kid-friendliness: They admit children.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair access.

It's fine for something to eat to save the day, but no flavor surprised me. The place is very well located near the sea and next to the market. The annoying thing is that there are many pigeons around that sometimes get into the kitchen and the bathroom is around the corner ??♀️

A service that has been getting worse every year! The cocoa was terrible, and watery!Little friendliness in the service and just one person to serve the entire terrace! Not going back despite it being a tradition for years!

At the café, in addition to the café, there is also a range of pastelaria, poncha, espetada, cerveja, diversos pratos, entre os quais, eu destaco and tradicional sandes carne vinha and alhos. A carne está semper fresca, bem condimentada e com molho q.b.Um deleite, quer para os locals que frequentam este café apos as compras no Mercado, quer para turistas.A café that, in addition to coffee, also offers some pastries, Madeira's traditional drink named poncha, beef skewers (espetada), beer, various dishes, among which I highlight the traditional sandwich of marinated pork and garlic. The meat is always fresh, well-seasoned, and with just the right amount of sauce. A delight, both for the locals who visit this café after shopping at the market and tourists.A cafe that, in addition to coffee, also offers some pastries, the traditional Madeira drink called Poncha, beef skewers (Espetada), beer and various dishes, among which I highlight the traditional sandwich with marinated pork and garlic. Very friendly staff and good pork sandwich.
The waitress simply left without making my order 2 times, the codfish cake was very mediocre and cold, the "poncha" we ordered had a bug on it, and we got harassed by multiple homeless people. Never going there

Restaurantji Recommends
The service is fast and friendly, it is located in a good place, it is quite quiet, but the only bad thing is that there are many pigeons next to it that approach your table

BEWARE sitting on the patio of this cafe, unless you want to be HIT BY A FLYING UMBRELLA. I was hit in the leg when one of their umbrellas came loose and they didn’t offer ice, bandages, anything - only to call an ambulance at my own expense. I hope ownership takes responsibility for ensuring the safety of everyone near their restaurant otherwise they may continue to be a liability to everyone that is visiting the market.I can’t speak to their food or coffee but do recommend the Heritage gelato stand across to them. That store has great gelato and great service (they gave me ice for my leg).

Just a snack place outside the market. Nothing special but if you're tired you can rest with a coffee, coke and a snacky item.
