Went here for a light snack after shopping in the nearby indoor market. Very helpful staff who understood English very well. Despite my paltry attempts of Portuguese. Lovely coffee and I recommend toasted sandwiches.
It seemed like a very normal place and we were very pleasantly surprised: generous portions, very friendly and fast (and multilingual) service, and the food (suggestions of the day) very very delicious. Ah! And very well priced. Rememberable!!
I arrived to see the street menu and an employee was kind enough to provide information about the daily specials.
The tomato soup, a typical dish from the island of Madeira, was tasty and well presented.
As a second course, the Venetian lasagna was equally delicious. It had 2 different types of meat and some spinach.
The service was helpful and professional from all staff.
I loved eating at this restaurant, I hope to do it again.
