“Excellent food, particularly recommend the chana masala. Several mains are clearly indicated as vegan, and there are a few more unlabelled (eg some starters, etc). Staff made sure to not bring yogurt sauce after we inquired about vegan food, I’m unsure if they automatically do this when ordering vegan dishes.“

“I ordered takeaway because I was tired from hiking. I ordered the chickpeas spiced and caron seeds with onion and tomato gravy (13,90€) and french fries (3,90€) . It took maybe 10 minutes. There are several vegan options. The food tasted good.“

“We have never had such delicious Indian food! Perfectly seasoned and well-filled dishes. We had Aloo Gobi and Paneer Matar with vegetable Beryani, highly recommended. For €30 pp we were done including drinks.
Vegetarian options: Indian food always has many vegetarian options and that is no different here. Our main course (2nd photo) was completely vegetarian and so were the samosas in the first photo.“

“Vegetarian options: This was a brand new restaurant Mt Everest Momo and Ramen that had literally opened the day before. The momo’s are delicious. The chicken chili is too.Get a Carol beer and relax. I’m sure service will get surer with time- but everyone is friendly and nice already.“
“A nice restaurant with plenty of vegetarian options. Highly recommended. We ordered a garlic naan, aloo gobi, pilau rice, steamed rice and mixed vegetables. I asked if the food could be made too spicy and that was no problem. There was certainly still enough flavor in the dishes.“
“Staying at the beautiful Savoy Palace, we decided to try this lovely looking restaurant for lunch and was very pleased indeed. The food was delicious and well presented. The service is impeccable and also relaxed and friendly. Well worth a visit, recommend this restaurant.“

“We really loved this Indian restaurant beside our hotel in Funchal. We went here twice and both the times the food was really good, the service was quick as well. Also people working there are friendly. It has a really nice sea view from the terrace so you can relax with some nice Indian food. I would definitely suggest this place if you like Indian food.
Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options.“

“Amazing vegan thali. Lots of other vegan options on the menu. Great service - staff knowledgeable about veganism including advising my non-vegan/vegetarian partner that the paneer option he chose was not vegan. Updated from previous review on 2025-02-11“

“We had the most incredible dinner at this restaurant. The food was perfect - the steak and octopus were perfectly cooked and flavoured. The serve was exceptional - a special thank you to Filipe and Bernardo for their kindness. They did not rush us at all and provided seamless service. Absolutely recommend for a lovely evening.“

“The price is a little bit higher but the food is out of this world. Some of the best vegan dishes I've had. The mushrooms with lentil paste and roast garlic was divine and the coconut panna cotta was delicious. Two vegan options for each starter, main and dessert.“

“What sets Indian Palace apart from other Indian restaurants is that you get free crusty Indian bread with dips. +++++
The service is courteous and attentive, but not intrusive! +++++
We tested the vegetarian dishes and were pleasantly surprised by the large selection and taste. The prices in comparison to other Indian restaurants in Funchal are quite cheap. I think the quality is great. +++++
Definitely recommended!
Vegetarian options: The paneer cheese is made fresh every day. This is nice and soft and aromatic!
In my opinion, the aroma of the masala sauce is the best compared to other Indian restaurants!“
