LOFT brunch & cocktail restaurant

I would have wanted to rate this place above average. That is until I found a roach in my crepe…. They have several locations. The one I visited is in the centre of Funchal, opposite the cable car. Service is ok. They have several vegan options on the menu. I had the tapioca crepe. Was filled with grilled vegetables. Tasted good. And when I was almost finished, there was this dead cockroach in it… The waiter went to talk to the chef. Came back, said sorry a couple of times and didn’t charge me for it. I am trying not to think what might happen in their kitchen… Updated from previous review on 2025-08-29

Vegan Burger and the Smoothie Bowl tasted very good. Went with meat Which liked the non vegan options very much. The Prices couldnt have better. Defently worth a visit

Cute place, has a couple of vegan options and they do lots of hot drinks with milk alternatives.

We had a great experience at this brunch spot. Great food, nice service, we liked the games and it is digital nomads friendly.

this is such a lovely little cafe with quite a few vegan options, including two smoothie bowls - perfect for the hot weather. they also have plant milks for coffees including oat, coconut, and soy. no vegan cakes unfortunately but that’s the only downside and there are enough options on the menu to make up for that. i had the banana and choc smoothie bowl with an oat latte and it was lovely!

Had the vegan burger - nice beyond meat like pate - also have nut milks for coffee etc. they also had salads / bowls vegan. Checked with the waiters and the pancakes are not vegan.

quick service. tasty burger, especially the cheese slice. the decor was interesting . there’s a board game on each table.

We went to this wonderful restaurant for brunch. The service was very friendly, quick and attentive. This despite the fact that all the tables in the restaurant were occupied at all times. We enjoyed the food great. We had a smoothie bowl, eggs funchal and pancakes. And there is also the option of using the board games available on site. Families with children are warmly welcomed and never had to wait long for a table.

Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance door is wide enough and the restaurant is just on the ground floor. The toilets are only accessible on foot.
