Monumental Grill is a comfortable and welcoming restaurant in Funchal. The staff is excellent, with some members even speaking German well. The food is delicious and rich, with large portions and fair prices. Garlic bread is a popular starter, and main courses like espetada, grilled chicken in mushroom sauce, and sauté potatoes are all highly enjoyable. Desserts like passion fruit cheesecake and Tiramisu are also on offer. The owner looked after everything from the entrance. The food is really great, with fresh fish and meat, well cooked and prepared perfectly. A bottle of Rose wine and a glass of Madeira wine can be enjoyed with your meal, making it a fantastic value option.
