Well located with great views across the river from it’s elevated position, there is a limited amount of outside seating to make the most of these views, but the fairly narrow walkway with a constant stream of people walking past meant that it wasn’t the best position. Inside it’s quite pleasant and contemporary with a tiled floor and plenty of wine bottles lining the walls. Cheap and good food
Having been here for drinks the previous evening and thinking it was an excellent spot with lovely staff, we came back for an evening meal. The waitress (Maria?) recognised us and, although the restaurant hadn't yet re-opened for the evening, told us to come back in 10 minutes and she would find us a table. The view over the Ribeiro is excellent, the service excellent and the food - especially the duck rice - was superb!

Located in a prime spot with stunning river views, Restaurante Transval offers limited outdoor seating and a contemporary interior with wine bottle decorations.
