During our stay at Hotel Alambique, my family and I had the opportunity to have lunch and dinner at the hotel's restaurant, located in the same building. Our gastronomic experiences were largely positive, with some areas for improvement.
Dinner: Cod à Lagareiro On our first night, we opted for cod dinner à lagareiro. The cod was divine, perfectly cooked and seasoned, being the highlight of the meal. The starters, consisting of eggs with pâté, tuna pâté and olives, were a pleasant introduction to dinner. We started with a delicious soup that prepared our palates well for the following dishes.
However, the dining experience was somewhat hampered by excessive noise in the room. The acoustics of the space could be improved to provide a more peaceful and pleasant environment for customers.
Lunch: Ribs, Turkey Breads, Beans with Mushrooms and Veal The next day, we went back for lunch. The starters were identical to the previous dinner, and maintained the expected level of quality. For lunch, we ordered ribs with mashed potatoes, turkey breading, beans with mushrooms and veal. Each dish was absolutely wonderful, standing out for the freshness of the ingredients and the excellence in preparation.
Fortunately, during lunch, the noise level was more bearable, which made for a more relaxing and pleasant experience.
Final Considerations The Hotel Alambique's restaurant offers a high-quality gastronomic experience, with well-prepared and tasty dishes. The lagareiro cod and the various dishes served at lunch demonstrate the skill and care in the kitchen.
