As a tourist for the first time in Portugal, I decided to try cuisine corresponding to the country, I had a very satisfactory experience in this restaurant, quality food and well served portions and very attentive and friendly staff, I recommend and advise you to visit this restaurant.

I recently visited this restaurant in Praia da Vagueira with high expectations when upon entry we were welcomed mentioning that we had to wait about half an hour for the food… the half hour became an hour! Unfortunately the experience was quite disappointing. We ordered veal steaks, but to our surprise, what we were served were chunks of beef, something completely different from what was requested and mentioned in the menu. Furthermore, the cuttlefish dish was another disappointment. They arrived undercooked, practically raw. When I tried to remove a cuttlefish, it fell to the ground, which already demonstrated the lack of care in the preparation. I asked them to pass on the remaining cuttlefish, but to our surprise, when they brought them back, they also included the one that had fallen to the ground. This is unacceptable and reveals a total lack of respect for the customer. To make matters worse, I noticed that the table next to me was also criticizing the Alentejana pork, which seems to indicate that these failures are not isolated cases. I asked the person in charge of the restaurant to check the response of the boy who served us. It's just that the boss was busy. The restaurant had few tables occupied at that time, I didn't see why!! Since it didn't come, I refused to pay for the food, mentioning that I would only pay for what we consumed, leaving almost a bottle full of green wine that wasn't fresh, bread and olives for a total of €13.25. Despite everything, I would like to highlight that the guys who were serving the tables were very attentive and polite, providing excellent service. So much so that, even with the bad experience in terms of food, I left a €5 tip as recognition for the good service. It's a shame that Praia da Vagueira, which is such a pleasant place, doesn't have more quality restaurants that match its charm. This restaurant urgently needs to improve the preparation of food and the quality of the dishes it serves. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it.

The waitress was lovely. The food, the squid (lulas) I would not recommend. Also, for me they were poplars (cuttlefish), not squid. The fried eels are very delicious and the house dessert is delicious.

Bad experience. After waiting for more than an hour for the meal, they served some poorly prepared squid and sea bass, which they said was from the sea, also poorly cooked and of poor flavor. Instead of apologizing for the delay, the employee was arrogant, saying that the kitchen was responsible. At the checkout, after paying, the employee, with bad manners, refused to say thank you. Not to be repeated!!!

I have lived in Vaguiera for many years, although I have never eaten here until today. I was shocked at how delicious the food is here! The restaurant itself is very clean and well-maintained, while still keeping the old Portuguese style. The service was 10/10, fast and friendly. I had the delicious caldeirada de raia and lulas with a cup of hotsauce they made just for me. I would recommend you to pay this restaurant a visit if you are in vaguiera.

Lunch for 2 on a Sunday. Very weak clams. Grilled sea bass (menu says it is from the sea) of poor quality. Reasonable desserts with house wine and we paid €70. Poor quality/price ratio.
