It was not our first time when this restaurant was “on our radar”, as we visited the region one year before, and wanted to try it out. At that time, my girlfriend felt like the menu was focusing too much on fish, and I can fairly say that, one year later, wow, was she wrong :).
The location itself, whilst not very impressive from the outside, is very cozy and well designed on the inside, just perfect for a relaxed, yet memorable dining experience. The staff was very attentive and their English was spot on (I am Portuguese, but my girlfriend prefers English, so all of the dishes were explained and presented accordingly).
It’s not by chance that one of the menus was called the “Balanced” menu, as for us - who like fine dining, and are no strangers to 1 star Michelin restaurants, especially in Portugal - it was, perhaps, the most perfectly combined set of dishes we ever had.
Chef Antonio Loureiro succeeded in designing the menu in such an incredible way, that every dish (and I do not exaggerate when saying EVERY dish) was as tasty as it comes. The flavors, the attention to detail, but most importantly, the selection of ingredients, were the things that impressed us most. Looking back, it was hard to pick just one dish that stood out…because we liked them all.
We highly recommend this place, as it’s one of those hidden gems, which you should not miss, if you’re a foodie!

Unforgetable Michelin star experience, with delicious tasting menu and wine pairing. Worth the trip to Guimarães to dine there.

We went with great expectation and enthusiasm, invited by some friends. The appetizers are unsophisticated, the octopus's flavor is covered by an invasive pickle, the goat is hard as a sole and the dessert is horrible with half an overturned salt shaker. The maître'd was a little out of place making jokes about when they "kicked out the Spaniards" and the environment was overly lit with white light and an air conditioning that couldn't be regulated properly.

Excellent menu. Michelin star restaurant. I definitely recommend it.
Gastronomic experience in capital letters. It has been an unforgettable journey guided by a universe of flavors and textures designed by a great kitchen team. Every moment is a surprise, with impeccable and unthinkable gastronomic sensations. Cuisine with R&D, very powerful and reflected in each dish in a masterful way. Everything is measured, there is no room for improvisation, no error is allowed. It is very difficult to choose which is the best moment of the experience, but I choose the first, the moment when I open the door to enter the dining room and the wait staff offers me their pedagogy and support. It is a surprise place, its exterior, stale, simple, architecturally says nothing, it hides an interior full of details and luxury, with a room staff performing a very correct and non-invasive choreography. A sommelier who will offer you the wine you want to find. recommendable

Perfect meal. Creative, delicious dishes that were presented beautifully. Service was excellent - they were even able to accomodate my wife's food preferences despite us not telling them in advance. Service was attentive.

Far below expectations…To begin with, they lose a lot by not being able to choose “freely” - everyone has to choose one of the two tasting menus or, alternatively, just the à la carte options.Regarding the service, it is worth highlighting the friendliness of the girl responsible for explaining the composition of the various dishes, as well as the attention and care of two younger members. Unfortunately, the arrogance of the person responsible for serving the drinks, who seemed to want to make our experience difficult due to some dietary restrictions, led to the service being awarded 3 stars.I hope to return one day to have a new experience, but for now, I don't plan on returning anytime soon.
