“Love this place!! The chicken is seasoned to perfection and portioned well. The addition of lemon or piri piri sauce are both delicious. They also have plenty of side dishes on rotation. And to make it even better, try the fresh berry cheesecake. Heaps of seating options too - I recommend the upstairs terrace.“

“Fantastic restaurant/atmosphere and great guy who owns it. The steaks are absolutely amazing. Well worth having the fillet on the stone. We stayed for a week in the area and had three evening meals there, that's how good it is. Some of the negative comments here are a bit odd. Go to relax and enjoy, with a little humor. The service is as you would expect from a quality restaurant, not rushed and not slow. Cash only!“

“We stayed in Lagos for 4 days and came to Mullens twice because it was so good. We ate the Piri Piri Chicken and Beef Mozambique. Both dishes were 10/10. The chicken was tasty and came with a delicious dipping sauce, freshly fried hand cut chips and a side salad. The beef was tender and spicy. The food cannot be faulted in any way.

The atmosphere was lovely — there was live music when we visited the second time. The first time we sat outside which was great and could see our chicken being barbecued in front of us.

Best of all the service is amazing. We got to know James a bit and he made the experience even better.

“Went there for the first time yesterday. Extra early because we didn't feel like looking at it for long, which is certainly possible. Prices for food and drinks are really cheap in comparison. What is a plus is that the toilets are extremely clean compared to other restaurants. We will definitely come back. ? ??. Unfortunately I have to take something off. On the third visit, most of the dishes suddenly became 2 to 2.50 more expensive. I also found it inappropriate that visitors came in wearing bathing suits, towels, tents, balls, etc. A pity, ...“

“Though it was a BBQ place. So it was a surprise when in. Bought some rice, lamb and pork. Food was really good. Simple, tasty and affordable. Food is ordered by kg. My bill was 17 euro. Fyi, this was basically stewed meat in a sauce. Would definitely recommend!“

“Tried it because we were intrigued by the fact that we had to "grill" everything ourselves at the table!
They bring you this kind of grill where they put hot charcoal inside and the meat/vegetables you choose raw, to be prepared all on the spot!
We took the mix of meat for €28, which was not a very happy choice because it was mainly pork, and we prefer beef/chicken, but it was still good. I tried the "bibibamp de vegetais", this dish based on rice, vegetables and a very tasty sauce with an egg on top, delicious and really filled me up, costing very little €6.50 and served in this little saucepan which kept everything warm until in the end!“

“Our favorite frango assado in Lagos. The chicken is always fresh and juicy. It’s ran by a hardworking couple that are both there lunch and dinner 5 days a week. It’s a local favorite and off the beaten track. We live a few minutes away and get frango from them at least once a week!“

“We loved the sardines so much that we came back in a couple of days again. Don't expect a fancy place. It's a very traditional, not touristic place with delicious grilled sardines. You pay a fixed value per person and you can eat as many sardines as you want. Salad and potatoes go as extras but it's normal.
We also liked their vinho da casa, it was fresh and complimented the sardines.“
