“Geweldige plek ❤️! Kwamen hier toevallig terecht omdat we om de hoek sliepen en zijn gelijk de volgende dag terugkomen. Zelfs op maandag weer voor de deur gestaan maar toen waren ze helaas gesloten. Lievelingstentje in Lagos! Geweldig eten, sfeer, personeel, lekkere sapjes en iedereen is zo lief! Ga hierheeeeeeeeeen!!!!!!!!!!“

“Great place for breakfast, staff are friendly and , as with most places around Lagos, are English speaking. We had toasties for breakfast, plus a couple of coffees each, couldn’t fault it. Full of locals whilst other places were quiet, which speaks volumes.“

“Had a great lunch as a family of four here! Our young one (3 1/2 years) was hangry and crying and the owner came out to cheer him up and saved the situation. Food was delicious, freshly made juices and coffee as well. I would love to come back to try their sweet pancakes but we travel home tomorrow…“

“Best breakfast spot in Lagos for those who wish to really immerse themselves in the local culture of Portugal and break fast like the locals do. They have a wide selection of toasties, croissants and pastels which will make your mouth water, my personal recommendation would be the croissant with eggs sauce which was incredible. The place is also squeaky clean, and the staff are super lovely and welcoming, they make you feel right at home. We came here every morning we spent in Lagos (apart from one and only because it was closed) would definitely recommend it. Will be missed once back in the Uk.“

“Incredible!!
At first it may not attract much attention as it is a small and somewhat hidden place, but without a doubt the best breakfast in Lagos at a very good price. We ordered two croissants and repeated a third because they were so delicious! Obrigado!!“

“They have a few salads and fries that I could eat with a gluten allergy. They made sure the fries were not fried in the same oil, staff was friendly, food tasty. Allergens listed inside the restaurant.
Dietary restrictions: Allergens listed inside. As a gluten intolerant person, I had around 3-4 options to choose from. Remember to inform staff, though.“

“Really nice and quiet place. Located in a small square in front of the Marine. I have found exactly what I was looking for which is simple food for breakfast for very fair prices especially when you compare it to cafes nearby. Much much better than having breakfast in the hotel and the price is lower.“

“Absolutely delicious (cash only!) We read reviews so we did the 20 min walk. Arrived and ordered but didn’t have cash. Oops! So we walked 10 min to an ATM. Returned and our meal was hot and ready waiting for us! My husband has been holding on to a childhood memory of a steak sandwich from Portugal. He absolutely loved the bifana (turns out it is pork, not beef) with onions. It fulfilled his craving!! I had a really tasty ham and cheese tosta. And only €2.40. Great value. Sweet staff. Delicious food. Locals cafe, not a restaurant atmosphere (at least during the day). Great for food. Not a hangout bar.“

“The staff is great and the owner is very nice. The food and the drinks are just lovely. In my table we had the lemon cheesecake, cheesy scones, liqueur coffee with Jameson (delicious), two spicy mango margaritas (amazing), boozy affogato (lively), red wine (smooth) and everything was great! The place is small but cozy and cute, the terrace is right on a narrow beautiful typical portuguese street in the old town. It's the only openly lgbtqi+ friendly place in Lagos that i know., not that makes much of a difference since i have seen of sort of people stoping by to drink and eat. Well done!“
“The best little bar in Lagos, outside the chaos of the center full of tourists. A calm and peaceful place. A true corner of Portugal. Here you can fully breathe the true air of this city. Ideal for a relaxing break. The owners are great people, full of helpful advice on what to do in Lagos. If you don't know what to drink, ask the owners for advice. This place reminded us how welcoming and true Portugal is, even in the midst of the touristy Algarve.Absolutely recommended.“
“What you'd expect from a snack bar, but it was nice that the owner made a double loaded tosta mista at my request. Don't go asking for one of these, because I told him up front that I expected to pay more, but it was nice that he did it.“
“An unforgettable evening! We were worried that we might not like this wistful music. But that wasn't the case, we were just blown away. The two musicians and the two singers were simply fantastic and were able to easily fill the room without any annoying amplifiers or microphones.
For €25 we also got soup, bread, olives and a small plate of octopus salad or a kind of goulash. Other drinks were extra.
The staff was super friendly and very attentive. We will live on these memories for a long time, thank you Café Vádio!“

“An amazing little restaurant with innovative and fresh food. Daily specials look scrumptious but we just had wine, cappacino and tapas in two visits. Smoked salmon-avacado. Yum. Wait staff is two owner-sisters who are delightful.

“You have to go for breakfast and lunch! Lovely staff, reasonable prices, bright and clean, food made to order. A fresh and varied menu, including English breakfast including tea or coffee for 11 euros at the time of writing. Duck and waffle is sublime!“

“We loved the place, small and very nice on a small street. We have tried
clams, bean salad, cod salad with chickpeas and
chocolate and lemon mousse. Everything was very very delicious, fresh with quality products. The kitchen is open so you can see how the cook prepares the dishes and the service is very friendly at an adequate price. We recommend this restaurant to everyone who passes through Lagos!“

“(Translated by Google) Unmissable pastry shop and cafeteria. The coffee is delicious, and the croissants and toast with ham and cheese are not to stop eating. “It deserves more stars. The service is excellent, the food is really delicious, the atmosphere is relaxed and you feel very comfortable. We ordered a cheese and tomato toast that was one of the best I've ever had, two açai bowls with a very good variety of fruit and to drink we ordered a natural fruit juice and an iced coffee. Super recommended ✨Everything was so delicious that I didn't make it to the photo ?“

“Absolutely the best pastel de nata in Lagos along with very local feel and other amazing pastries with torta de laranja topping our list.
Parking: There are plenty of paid parking lots just outside of the cafe - the later you arrive the more difficult it is to find a place.“

“Good food tbh didn't give me much flavor but still good. The staff were I don't know how to put it ok I guess?anyway the atmosphere was OK as well and I was hungry as well so probs would have been a little less good in my opinion if I wasn't hungry but still a good place to “

“We had a kind of "pizza" super special, covered with vegetables, absolutely delicious. It was surprising, since this was one of the best vegan "pizza" ever for me and I am italian! I had a portion of lentils balls as well, absolutely delicious. Sized were extremely generous. The guy who came at our table was gentle, caring and friendly. Don't miss Munich!“

“We were glad to have stopped by this local family-run cafe for lunch! An authentic place with Portuguese crusine. We ordered the Bream and Sardine - after a few rounds of fish in Lisbon and Porto, this has to be by far the best! Thank you for the recommendations (not forgetting the takeaway snacks for our bus trip back)! All the best to you and your brother! Lagos is beautiful!“

“Delicious oat lattes, really good smoothies and avocado toast. Lovely atmosphere and staff. Ordering system (at the counter) was easy and the food came quickly. Lovely spot! Only con is it’s hard to get to if you drive in as you have to park further away and walk in. The walk is beautiful though!“

“Overlooking the marina.
An extensive menu and good-sized dishes.
We tried the Indian food and it was delicious. They give you the choice between the normal or non-spicy version.
The waiter was very friendly and polite. In fact, he is the main reason we wanted to write this review.
The price for 5 people with drinks and beers was €74.25, quite cheap compared to other restaurants in the area.“

“The pastel de nata here are some of the best around. They are made directly in the store and come very hot. The coconut macaroons are also very tasty. The staff is nice and tries hard. However, the ambience is quite dated and not particularly nice, especially in the interior.“
“Everything was very good. Seafood and fish was fresh and tasty, steak was delicious, wine was excellent, service was friendly and top notch. We all had a wonderful time.Since I gave a similar place in Lisbon 5 stars, I had to score this place high too because although the crab filling was not as good as the one in Lisbon (too much mayo), the gooseneck barnacles were far better here. It evens out. It was the best spot we've found in town for this kind of seafood fix.“
“Professional and friendly staff. Very clean in a good location with a pleasing outlook and an appealing array of cakes, pastries and all-inclusive snack and lunch menus. Regulars are mainly local professionals and retirees and there is easily accessible wifi.“

“We ordered the sautéed powder, Peito de frango com molho de ananas, Lombinho de porco grelhado, pizza roma. All the dishes were delicious but the octopus was spectacular, we will repeat it even if our stay in Portugal is short. The dishes were really very good and plentiful. Also, the staff is super nice.“

“Ran in here once on my way home from work because you can see the amount of Pastéis de Nata in the window, so you assume that it’s good if they make that many.
This was the best Pastel de Nata i’ve ever had, i need to go back here on a coffee date soon.“
