O Mexilhão offers a wheelchair-accessible space with friendly waiters, serving fresh and delicious food at reasonable prices. The ceviche, tuna with sesame, sa re with bananas and passion fruit are highly recommended. Octopus with sweet potatoes, fried calamari, mussels Mediterranea, and garlic prawns are must-tries. The tiramisu is amazing. The staff are super friendly and have a great sense of humor, and they know the product well, offering excellent advice on menu choices. There is also a separate section in the menu for vegetarians. For a digestive drink, ask for almond liquor with lemon juice. Enjoy great hospitality, awesome food, and fabulous service at this family-run restaurant, where the chef and the manager are a married couple. The menu is wonderfully curated, making one want to come back to try everything. A mandatory stop.
