“This was me and my family's first time visiting Fátima. We chose to eat at Manhas Resturant because of the excellent reviews we saw online. I am here to confirm these reviews are completely accurate and our expectations were exceeded. Not only was the staff extremely friendly but the food was outstanding. Our fantastic waiter Roberto set us up with great wine pairings and was so knowledgeable with the menu. If you ever are in the area and want a memorable dinning experience with quick service this is the place for you. If my family ever returns to Fatima this is where we will be eating!”

“The entire experience at this restaurant was five stars. Starting with the service and friendliness, always present, from Mr João Rodrigues. The food was delicious and we loved both dishes chosen, with the entire service between starters and main course going very quickly and without any major delays, a very positive point. Although we were already full, given the quality of the food and the feedback on the desserts, we had to try it, equally five stars for both.
First time we went to this restaurant but certainly the first of many, we recommend it to everyone who has the opportunity to go to this restaurant.

“Set on the main street in Tomar, with indoor and outdoor seating, this is the place to go late evening. It gets busy around 11pm, and overspill intonthe Street, table or bar service is very fast and you pay as you go, rather than running a tab. Staff are inviting, friendly and English is well spoken. I didn't have food so can't comment on that.”

“Very pleasant atmosphere and good food. Unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired. He is not very accommodating and not attentive enough for this type of restaurant.
(We had to draw attention to ourselves to order drinks, olives and butter came but no bread, the empty glasses on the table were overlooked and empty or unnecessary dishes such as fish knives or empty olive bowls were not cleared away when serving.

“We had lunch reservations and our food was served in a timely manner. Everything was excellent and all four of us we're happy with our service and food. I like it when I ask for water or salt or anything extra and it actually shows up, we didn't ask to ask for anything a second time. I ordered a Sangria pitcher and it was great. I drank it all by myself and I usually don't drink a lot of alcohol. LOL! At the end of the meal I got a coffee and it was brought out with extra steamed milk which was a wonderful surprise. The restaurant is very cute inside, and there is exterior seating. After eating we took a walk through the beautiful park across the street. It has a lot of water and was very tranquil with a beautiful water wheel in action.

Parking: Beware of street parking, we couldn't find the paid parking ticket machine. So, we thought there were no fees as I didn't see paid parking tickets in any other car windows. Unfortunately there was a ticket on our window from the police when we came back to our car it cost 30 Euros. For those who are driving rental cars if you are ticketed you can pay it at the police station in Tomar, otherwise it's attached to the license. Station pay department is only open until 4 and it seems no one is there on Friday. It turns out we just missed the parking lot, oops, and ended up parking elsewhere by mistake. We will be going to the restaurant again because it was a wonderful experience and understand where to park, so no fault but our own. The machine to pay parking wasn't so far away, I guess we just weren't looking hard enough. I was hungry ..”

It's not all that efficient at the meter-long counter in the pipe drawer, with a funny triangular dining room on the other side of the place, where you can be amazed at how much even marble wears out under decades of soles near the stairs. Good coffee, reasonable ice cream, good pastries and friendly staff. No one is in a hurry and regular customers will strike up a conversation about literature with you. You have to speak Portuguese.”
