The lunch meal on Sunday, February 18th, was horrible. All the food seemed to be heated. Poorly prepared, horrible. It didn't even look like the same restaurant! Grilled sea bass with boiled potatoes and vegetables, all cold and dry! They didn't even bring olive oil to the table. At the table, we had to order it. Brazilian picanha... well, beans completely dry and almost in mush, the picanha looked rubbery and barely tasty. It came with cream milk, completely liquid... to forget! Finally an astronomical bill! I need to not be ashamed!

I usually have lunch at this restaurant countless times when I'm in Macedo de Cavaleiros and until yesterday, February 18, 2024, I haven't had any reason to complain. Yesterday was disappointing on all levels. Firstly, we found it strange that there were few customers and the staff were almost unknown. We ordered grilled sea bass with potatoesstews and vegetables and half a dose of Brazilian picanha. The potatoes, fish and vegetables were cold and we had to ask for olive oil as they didn't even bring it to the table. The picanha was just in name... The beans were a dry mush with no sauce and no flavor, the picanha was authentic rubber. It looked like yesterday's food... I even thought it was another management but no, because the owner in the corner usually... Not like that, DONA ANTÓNIA, not like that!!! In addition to having paid an exorbitant amount for "that". If we had eaten well the price would have been fine!!!

Good food and good treatment. We ordered the "bacalhau a lagareiro" it was spectacular. The wait was a little long, but it was worth it! The delicious chocolate mousse! The very friendly waiter, he did his best to understand us even though we don't speak Portuguese! Very good value for money!

During a short visit to Macedo de Cavaleiros, we stopped for dinner at the Dona Antónia restaurant.The food itself is tasty, but some dishes are very poorly served in terms of quantity. The desserts are good, and the house specialty, the rice pudding, is very good.We recommend this restaurant, however we advise you to review the portions served, as there are big differences between dishes.
