Garrafeira da Vila Reviews
Absolute recommendation! The pasta was one of the best I've ever eaten. Very nice service and pleasant atmosphere.
Very delicious food and very friendly service. The only downside is that they take a long time to serve, but then they bring it all together, and in my opinion it is worth the wait. The food is out of the ordinary in the Azores and they have a great variety of wines and knowledge about them, and that is appreciated when you have been going to 'beach' restaurants for several days with delicious fish, but simple preparations.
Very nice wine bar in town. The ambience is really great, the food amazing and the wines very tasty.

Garrafeira da Vila is a lovely place featuring a small tapas menu that could be more extensive. It operates as a 2-person team, where the chef creates great dishes, including the tasty slow-cooked beef. The food is very delicious, and the syrah wine pairs nicely with the meals, showcasing a great variety of wines and knowledge about them. The dessert of the day, chocolate cake with lemon ice cream, stands out as a highlight. Although there may be a wait due to the limited staff, the high quality and caliber of the food make it worth it, with many customers finding that the wait leads to a delightful experience. Prices are a bit higher compared to other places in Madalena, but the excellent food justifies the cost. The restaurant easily accommodates dietary restrictions like gluten and dairy allergies. The intimate and welcoming environment, along with good music, adds to the overall experience. This is a must-visit for those who appreciate good food and are willing to wait for a delicious meal, especially after enjoying simpler preparations at 'beach' restaurants.
