It's in Moreanes, a small town between Mértola and the fabulous river beach of Tapada Grande de São Domingos! Typical restaurant, where we were received with great friendliness and good disposition! Even though we didn't have a reservation, the owner managed to find us a table in the entrance room! The Meat with Migas was quite good, but the Chickpea Stew was truly wonderful! A very pleasant and well decorated space!
Parking: There are plenty of seats in a dirt park, a little in front of the restaurant!

This restaurant has one of the most characteristic and authentic environments that Alentejo has to offer. Everything about it shows the Alentejo: the excellent food, the decoration, and even the Mr. who always served us with that bric-a-brac attitude characteristic of Alentejo residents (please don't confuse this with rudeness). The flavors, as you know, are excellent. Divine dogfish soup, and the mixed black pork came with such good, good pieces. Oh, and the little jug of red couldn't be missed.

Typical dishes of the area, mostly meat and game, all very good and tasty and generous amounts. You can tell that it is from the land, not touristy, very good desserts too. I recommend the stewed bochechas and delicious carob and fig cake for dessert!!!

We wanted to have lunch outside on the terrace but they said to have lunch inside we were a little disappointed right then and there. On the menu I ordered breaded chicken with cheese as it said on the menu but it also came with ham (it would be easier to write cordon bleu or simply say that it also contains ham since I could be intolerant). Otherwise the service was quick and the food was good. Note: It is not very advisable for vegetarians either.
