“We came to this place for our last dinner in Lisbon. It was Sunday and at 9.30pm we thought we wouldn't find a place anywhere; we stopped here in front and, also following the advice of a couple of tourists (even if they seemed to be regular customers), we decided to go in.
We didn't regret it. The menu is not very rich (there are only four main dishes), but the quality is excellent. The house "bacalhau" is recommended. The owner is very nice and seems to manage everything himself. He recommended the wine to accompany the meal and at the end he prepared some delicious crepes suzette in front of us with his mobile stove. Highly recommended.“

“Very good restaurant with a pleasant terrace,
We came across it by chance and all the dishes were good, mostly Italian cuisine.
And impeccable service
And the kitchen closes at 11 a.m., so later than the average in Lisbon
Vegetarian options: Veggie starters and veggie main course
I recommend the lasagna“

“The best steak I've had on my whole trip! If you're a steak lover, don't miss this spot. We also got a bottle of the red wine blend Dao which was delightful (dry yet rich).
They were accommodating to my food sensitivities and I'll probably go back tomorrow for another steak!“

“Fantastic little gem in Alfama. So many restaurants claim delicious food but this one delivers! We had the duck stew and grandmother's stew - both were so flavorful!
We just wished we had bigger stomachs for more food!“

“Very nice hidden gem if you ask me. The food was amazing, we had different tapas that we shared and we did not discover one we did not love.
Vegetarian options: A lot of vegetarion options on the tapas menu! But mostly with cheese (no problem for us), like goat, camenbert, gratin and burrata.“

“Had dinner last night with 4 people. We enjoyed several starters (oysters, green beans in tempura, cod fritters and potato chips with skin) and main courses (seared tuna with sweet potato purée, cod a bras, golden cod and octopus on a bed of sweet potatoes), all excellent . Really great beer and sangria. The desserts are also tasty (biscuit cake and brownies with caramel). Very friendly and helpful service with tourists. Very pleasant place both inside and outside.
Very recommended.“
“The person who took me there was a friend. When I got there I was "knock out" with the place. Simply divine. For those who like a "Vintage" environment, you will feel at home. For those who don't like it, you'll enjoy it anyway....“

“Had a talk with Nahid (our waiter) after we finished our food. A very nice guy who treated us very well and was very pleasant!
I can very recommend the Number 11 “Gambas e Mexilhão à la guillo” they come in a very nice vine’ish sauce that tastes incredible! It’s a good place to drink a bottle of wine, because the tram 28E is passing by and the prices are very acceptable for lisbon’s old town!“

“Nice place located on the opposite shore from Lisbon. Just in front. Nice views, although somewhat distant.
Good treatment from the staff. They are attentive and ask you if everything is okay.
The food is very delicious. All tasty. Maybe the chicken fingers are a little dry. But let's keep in mind that they are that; chicken fingers (we ask little Alicia who eats almost nothing).
The prices are pretty good, except for the drinks. A coffee at 2.90 or 25cl bottles of water at 1.60 each seem expensive to me. Without mentioning the red fruit sangria, which is enough for 5 glasses, at 18 euros.
But I don't want to tarnish a good dinner we enjoyed.
It is a nice place, with good food, well located and with good prices in general.
Place to try and surely repeat.“
“Founded in the 15th century as a farm, the current space offers us a charming garden where pools with water jets are discovered between paths in the refreshing shade of wisteria pergolas and other plants.
A large pool of tidal water from the river bringing fish at high tide, surrounded by banks with beautiful Azulejos, unfortunately degraded by time, is very original!
Small corners very different from each other and shell ornaments
Clean toilets.
A very pleasant and quiet place!“

“We loved EVERYTHING!!???
A super cool and tastefully decorated terrace, and with a garden, an Oasis in Seixal.
João very attentive and friendly.
Delicious food, the BEST bacalhau a Brás that we have already eaten, large pieces of cod and very juicy.
The 'bochechas' are very delicious with beer sauce.
It will be a mandatory stop every time we come on vacation.“

“The food is good, but I have to mention the sweet potato fries, which are packaged, in a restaurant with this category it doesn't make sense.
As for the service, the employees are friendly, but the waiting time is significant.
The atmosphere is good.“
“We spent the Valentine’s Day here. It was possible only with reservations and a special menu. Atmosphere was very lovely,(we also had live music), service friendly and the food very tasty. The wine from the imposed menu was not ok for us, but we chose a sparkling wine, extra charge. Overall - I would surely recommend it!“

“We came for dinner at the old house, we liked it, affordable prices, food cooked to order, hence the wait to receive it. I don't give it five stars just for two reasons, one of which was that I spent some time waiting for them to give me the menu, something that took less than a minute to do, took a long time and the lack of seasoning in the food, they are afraid of adding salt and pepper, otherwise, nothing to point out. The girl who waits tables is super friendly.“

“Absolute recommendation, off the beaten path in a small alley, great tapas, very nice atmosphere, friendly waiters and no mass tourism. We would come back at any time. Where the waiters eat their own food during the break, it has to be good and authentic. Special requests are also taken into account if you want to change or add something to the dishes. Thumbs up for Mercearia Castello and thank you for a great afternoon.“

“Wonderful place to eat. Very good service, friendly and very helpful staff. A pleasant space with good options for a complete meal. We went to the restaurant late and I wasn't that hungry anymore, but I ordered a roasted chorizo which was very good, and I had one of the best sangrias I've ever had. I really enjoyed it, I will come back and recommend it for sure.“
