If it were possible, I would even give it a lower rating. From the lack of hygiene in the dishes and space, the lack of care in service was something I had never seen before. The food wasn't even terrible, but looking at the space and the way we were served, we were left with disbelief at what could have been a simple and honest service and which fell so far short of what you expect when you have an open door...

Despite not serving dinners on the weekends, the owner managed to find a lunch box with chicken and another with rice. Grilled chicken with a delicious flavor. I was, without a doubt, a very friendly and pleasant lady. When I pass by the area, I will definitely visit.

It all started with poorly washed dishes (to be nice)...I asked for a change and they came better....
The food arrived..I preferred to eat from the plate and returned the plate.....
The chicken was absolutely Portuguese...it still had the two plastic seals so I knew it was a "Product of Portugal" ??..... The floor, on the other hand, shone with grease just like an ice rink ??
At least the employee was friendly and did the best she could......
I'm sorry but I won't be going back.....
Good deals

Both a take away and a restaurant, very popular with locals, really friendly staff. Good portions, chicken and chips is the speciality but lots of other choices. Great value ! Dogs welcome on verandah and terrace seating.
Vegetarian options: Omelette, pizza, salads etc

Family run restaurant with menu del dia starting at midday. Located at very busy main road between Coimbra and Tomar. Popular amongst truckers and local workers (some financed by companies). Prices varies from €8 to €10 per person (depending on type of the main dish). Includes appetizer (bread and olives), soup, main (choice of 3-4 every day), drink (1 ltr bottle of wine for 2 or other fizzy/ plain drink) and coffee. Dessert at €1 extra.Typical portugese climate: tables covered with paper, single use table cloths, each wine glass and cutlery from different branch but.. it makes it specific and very local.
Parking: very busy between 11:50 and 14:00 when lunches served
Wheelchair accessibility: difficult as very narrow entry but possible

Restaurantji Recommends
Food with excess salt, more than 30 minutes of waiting for a dish that should already be ready, cooked Portuguese style.
