“Excellent food. Fresh ingredients cooked on the grill outside in front of us. We had the tasting menu and got our money's worth. The owner was kind and took good care of us. The location was so romantic, down a cobblestone street. I felt like I was in another world, coming from thee US. It was magical.“

“Homemade and abundant Portuguese food. One of those restaurants that if you like typical, unpretentious and honest places, you have to save. Located in an alley, it is an old house and adapted as a restaurant. They attended us even though they were about to close and of course, with a smile and wonderful kindness. There were dishes that were already sold out by the hour but we ordered soup, 3 types of grilled fish with their accompaniments and rice with beans and grilled chops that were simply perfect. The half portions are enough for more than one. We didn't get to the desserts but if we return to Coimbra we will definitely repeat. We have left our small works of art there as souvenirs and hope to see them again. ?“

“Small cute place with a soft romantic vibe.
You may have to wait to get seated but I'd say it's worth it. Truly tasty food, in line with the local and Portuguese tradition but with a modern and innovative twist.
Reasonable prices and friendly/attentive service contribute to the great experience.“

“As often happens, after a few days of "local cuisine" the desire for home-made dishes returns. This little place in the heart of Coimbra was a pleasant discovery. Even before tasting the dishes we were overwhelmed by the kindness of the owner of the house, Felice, a friendly Venetian who travels the world. We decide to taste the "bolognese"...exquisite...and the lasagna...excellent..Finally the pizza...For us Neapolitans it is not easy to "adapt" and appreciate a different way of making pizza, but that of Felice is a good and light pizza, definitely worth trying. Highly recommended.“

“Although we have been a little hot because it does not have AC, that's why my 4 stars, the place is small and picturesque, very well attended by Adriana. Homemade food. As a starter we ordered a dish of the day which was a toast with sardines and peppers: Broa c/ sardine peppers. For the main course we ordered the María Río tasting menu: Bacalhau à rio, Favas à portuguesa and Feijoada de cogumelos. All very delicious, bathed with a green house wine. They speak English as well.“

“Quality product and friendly treatment.
Maybe it was somewhat tourist-oriented (there were a lot of foreigners), or maybe it was because of the day/time we went, but in any case it seemed very authentic.
The children's menu is very good.
It is not cheap for Coimbra.
Kid-friendliness: Very good. They have a children's menu.“

“One of my favorite new places in Coimbra! In addition to the wonderful wine cellar, which in itself was a reason to go there, the aged meat, fried potatoes and mushroom rice are my favorites in the city (so much so, that every time I go there I can't order anything else).“

“New experience. We chose daily dishes (lagareiro-style cuttlefish strips and grilled maminha). The daily rate includes soup, dish, drink, dessert of the day or fries and coffee. The quality is excellent and the quantity, considering the price, is also excellent. I recommend.“

“On the advice of a friend who lived in Coimbra we headed here for dinner: very good dishes (we ate meat) accompanied by classic Portuguese side dishes (salad with onions, tomatoes and potatoes). All very good, informal place, attentive but discreet and kind service, very reasonable price (we spent €24 for two!).
To try!“

“??: What a wonderful discovery this is.
I went in search of some Coimbra-style migas and ended up enjoying the Açorda that accompanied the fried petinga.
One of the best açordas I've eaten in my life.
All the food was extremely fresh and delicious, even the mixed salad.
I recommend it 100% and will definitely be back.
Not to mention the waiters, the girl who served us first and the man who finished our service. Both of them extremely friendly.
??: What an amazing finding this one
I was looking for a place that served “Migas à moda de Coimbra”, which is a dish made with bread, black eyed peas and cabbage.
I end up delighting on the “Açorda” that was a side dish of the fried “petinga”(small sardine like whitebait)
It was one of the best “Açorda” I’ve eaten in my life.
All food we ordered was fresh and delicious.
I recommend this place 100% and no doubt I’ll be back
Also to mentioned the staff that was so friendly and so nice to us. Always with a smile on their faces“

“Nice place, excellent food and top quality service!
Dishes well served and extremely tasty! Depending on the day and time, you may need to wait a little but nothing too long, as the room is not very big, it may take a while for the food to arrive, but it's worth it! I will definitely go back to eat the Salmon with Potatoes again, and Migas which was simply WONDERFUL ??“

“I can’t say enough to express how delighted we were to find this restaurant. They took us without a reservation, the service was attentive, the food was outstanding, and the price, very reasonable. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a good meal.“
“The restaurant is easy to find, being on a street corner opposite the Municipal Park in the centre of town. We decided to have an early dinner and were there just after the restaurant opened. Most tables had reserved signs on them. We were lucky in that we got a table without having had made a reservation. We soon understood why. Starters of mussels and vegetable soup were both delicious. My partner had an excellent lemon sole (Linguado) and I had octopus (Polvo a Largareiro) which is probably the best I've had anywhere. Both were served with boiled potato and lots of greens. As usual with Madeiran restaurants, the servings were extremely generous. We shared a decent bottle of white Douro and finished with a light dessert called Molotov, mainly fluffed egg white with a drizzle of caramel sauce and a dusting of cinnamon. The quality of everything was exceptional. By the time we had been served our desserts, the restaurant was not only full, but there was a line of around twenty people outside waiting for tables. Wine, water, coffee and three courses came to just over 100 euro for two which is very reasonable for this quality of fare. Service is friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. With a reputation like this restaurant has, I'd say it's essential to book. I'd go back in a heartbeat.“

“Good restaurant not far from the university. In fact, we were there to have lunch and then continue the visit in the afternoon.
We ordered some alheira croquettes, a baked salmon au gratin and a grilled cod. All three dishes were worth it, with particular interest for the cod. The best bras cod we have eaten during our getaway in the north of Portugal.
It is not one of the cheapest restaurants, but the quality-price ratio is good.“

Comimos además Cordon Bleu y Bacalao Asado. Todos los platos abundantes y con guarnición.“

“I went for a group dinner and the menu included starters, spare ribs in vine d'alhos with carqueja rice (which was spectacular). Dessert was cream milk (unfortunately I forgot to take a photo). It's a very welcoming place with friendly staff (they even asked if you wanted to eat more spare ribs). During dinner they played fado music which created a good atmosphere in the restaurant. It was worth it, I recommend it.“

“My father and my sister were on vacation and we found that place, and as soon as we entered we fell in love with the place, it is very beautiful inside. The attention was spectacular, although they did not speak Spanish, they tried very hard to understand us and communicate with us. The waiter who served us was very professional and the food was spectacular. If I return to Coimbra, I will return headlong.“

“We came to this area to visit the Parque Natural da Arrabida, but it was raining steadily. The silver lining was finding Sabores da Quinta. We were seated immediately in a room full of several groups of locals who were clearly having a great time. From the start the waiters were attentive but not hovering. We were served fresh warm bread, cheese, and a delicious octopus salad without having to ask (only when we got the check did we see that the salad wasn't complimentary, but it was great and only cost 4 euros). My wife and I shared one chicken, pineapple, and sausage kabob and a green salad. That, along with the bread, cheese, and octopus salad starters, filled us up. We didn't even have room for dessert, but the other guests did, and they were obviously relishing the experience. Were we staying in the area, we'd certainly come back for dinner!“
“When we are well received and attended to, it is already halfway to a good gastronomic experience. Although we were not well received, luckily, Paula appeared to assist us! What a good person with life! How much kindness and sympathy! We started to get excited about having returned to this restaurant, where we had already had a great dinner one day. We ordered the seafood rice! What a divine dish! The chef was really inspired! For dessert, a pear in wine with ice cream, which was also wonderful! Thank you Paula! We will be back!“
“Altough it was a bit harsh finding it, it really was worth it! Everything was perfect!! If I really need to make a comment, the timing could be a bit better. But this is really a detail on the whole evening! We went for a shared dish formula, which was really nice. We chose for mix of european style food as wel as european+portuguese final touch, as wel as portuguese typicals. And all of them had an amazing taste. Together of course with a good glass of white/red wine/port. For the rest, the kidness, the oenologic knowledge, the charming approach, price,… and so on… Really perfect!! My next stay at Coimbra, I’ll obviously return for more!“

“For a busy day in a restaurant with too many people, I have nothing to say except the suckling pig's temperature is probably a little low. The exemplary staff always willing to help with a smile. They told me it was more pork than suckling pig but as I'm not an expert, I didn't notice and the sauce was divine. Only 4 stars for the atmosphere where there is a lot of noise on a crowded day.“

“Luca is one of our favourite place to have lunch. The restaurant is located in a cute and peaceful square near the main high street. The food is always delicious and is a great alternative for those who are looking for something healthy to eat. So far we tried the fresh organic orange juices and smoothies, the hummus, falafel, pastel de bacalhau for snacks. We also tried their grilled salmon with couscous which is one of our favourite dishes along with a nice fresh Praxis whenever we feel a bit naughty. :) The staff members are always friendly, smiley and helpful. We will certainly be back soon. ;)“
