Castas e Pratos Reviews
Ate there twice, one lunch and one dinner. The service is nice and professional. The food is great, very tasty like a gourmet restaurant, the vegetarian risotto was excellent. Wine list is a big deal there,it is like a book and all the wine ceremonies are a bit too pompous to my taste and at the end when you order a glass they serve about a quarter of the glass. Over all it was nice and tasty but way too expensive for what you get .
Beautiful restaurant with amazing food and excellent service.Extensive wine list.A real treat!!
Very impressed. Calm casual but stylish decor. Impressive wine list. We had a local Douro Pinot Noir. Service excellent. Food seriously good.

Castas e Pratos offers a delightful dining experience with a bit higher prices. Located in an old train shed, the restaurant provides modern comfort and exceptional service. The food is very tasty, like a gourmet restaurant, with dishes such as Duck and Cod Magret offering prominent flavors, often paired with a recommended wine from an extensive wine list. Appetizers like beef carpaccio and scallops are well-liked, and main courses include asparagus risotto and veal medallions. The atmosphere is calm, and the service is generally good, although some reviews mention that wine service can be a bit slow or pompous, and portions sometimes seem small. The restaurant's transformation from an old station building adds charm to the experience, making it a memorable place to enjoy a meal, despite some concerns about value for the price. Desserts are especially appreciated, and the overall setting combines history with modern comfort.
