Although the setting is beautiful, this level does not translate into the dishes and service: - the service was reserved friendly, rather cool. The long wine list can only be found online via a QR code. Nothing wrong with that in itself, but the long list of wines is just a list of names, no description, no naming of the grapes, no characterization of dry or fruity or.... You also had to be explicitly asked about the wine list, no spontaneous explanation about this from the waiters. - We ordered cod, which was dry and tasteless. Fortunately, the vegetables added some flavor to the dish. The dessert (chocolate delicacies) turned out to be equally dry and tasteless. Anyway: 3 out of 5, because the interior was pleasant, the company was even better and we were happy on holiday.

The restaurant has a lovely inside. We weren’t given a wine list but had to deal with the online one which doesn’t make it clear if there are any wines by the glass. The steak was good and well cooked but the potato wedges and vegetables were far too oily. The vegetarian sausage was inedible incredibly smokey and caked your mouth once again wedges too oily and obviously frozen. Mushroom risotto was fine but not good enough for the price. Dessert was also okay. The power went off about 4 times during our meal and there seemed to be no rush to turn it back on. Very odd.

It's unfortunate that in a place as beautiful as Vale d'Ouro, we found this restaurant with less than friendly service; the patanisca looked more like a cupcake heated in the microwave; the waiter did not explain the types of wine when asked; a dose of Port wine, it seems like another free tasting and finally, to share a dish with someone you are charged 2 euros per person: ABSURD!!!

Negative experience due to the owner's lack of vision, which prevented us from fulfilling our desire for romance by the window because the two tables available were four-seater tables and there were only me and my husband. Unfortunate. I don't recommend it, especially because the food also left something to be desired.
