I've had the pleasure of dining at many restaurants around the world, but Restaurante Fonte de Corro in Portalegre stands out as a truly unforgettable experience. Quite simply, it was the best meal I've had in years.

From the moment we stepped inside,we were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and elegance. The rustic charm of the decor, combined with the attentive yet unobtrusive service, created the perfect setting for a memorable evening.

Nous y avons dîné 2 fois en 3 jours. C’est très bon, assez original et très abordable. Des tapas ou des plats (mer, terre ou autre). La terrasse est très sympa et le service aussi.
Je ne doute pas que si le Guide Michelin passe par là il lui accorde un Bib Gourmand. Si je repasse dans le coin, je reviendrai !

1- Dishes presented on the menu without any possibility of alteration, only the possibility of adding more ingredients to the dishes, with cooking time much longer than 1 hour. It is not understandable how a restaurant with such a limited menu takes such a long time to prepare food and has no idea how long it takes to serve customers despite the space being devoid of large customers.

2- I regret that on the day in question I was unable to serve 6 new customers and that I still ended up with a loss!
But being grateful for your observations and seeing that the slight criticism bothered you to the point of responding in the way you did, let's move on to the facts.
I made a reservation for 1:30 pm for 6 people, and at the reserved time all 6 people were seated at the table. Four people arrived before 1:30 pm and were given permission to sit down. We ordered the starters and asked questions about the dishes, but despite the waiter's insistence that we place the order before we were all there, the order was only made when EVERYONE was at the table and at once within the time the reservation was made. has been marked. After 1 hour, after the order was placed, the waiter came to inform us that the order would be served within 10 minutes, 20 minutes after this information was given, we asked how much longer it would take, to which the same waiter replied that I didn't know. As we complained, that same employee questioned the kitchen and gave an estimate of another 10 minutes.
The restaurant was not full inside and outside there was a table with 4 people.
Fast food would take at most 10 minutes to be served, if after 1h20 of the order being placed the kitchen still doesn't know when the dishes are ready to be served, above all it shows a lack of organization.
And it's a good thing that your concept is not a “buffet”, because it wasn't looking for that concept that we entered this space. But for a space with such a unique concept and concerned with the well-being of its customers, where the menus are “thought out in a balanced way in terms of flavors and textures in the combination of garnishes and proteins”, it starts by excluding children when not It allows you to substitute any ingredient or garnish and does not even offer a children's menu. And in the case of the 6 people (customers), 2 were children.
I deduce that when he said “we take responsibility for not being able to serve a table of 6 people who arrive in installments, in a hurry and just wanting main dishes to eat and “get on with their journey””, he meant to say that he assumes that on that day, it was because For whatever reason, they were unable to respond to the tables that were occupied (taking more than 1 hour to place the orders), and they preferred to ignore this fact, treating 6 new customers inappropriately, who were careful to order only what was available. on the menu, having been previously informed that they could either eat what was available or they could leave the restaurant, and that they only placed their order after everyone was seated at the table.
If I'm wrong, I can only add that I found that preparing 6 main meals (existing on the menu) for a single table where the dishes have to be served simultaneously is too difficult for your kitchen, and I regret having been poorly received in your kitchen. space due to lack of kitchen organization.
