Service and vibe were there. Food was not. Disappointed that Choco Frito (chewy) and Bacalhau (no texture or flavour) can turn out so poorly.

Space with picturesque decor that lives up to its name, although limited in area.
There are some interesting snacks such as anchovy, fried squid, octopus salad, francesinhas or fried cuttlefish.
There aren't many beer or wine options, perhaps due to the small area of the establishment.

We and my family were very satisfied with the restaurant. Very tasty food and very friendly service. Although the restaurant is not big, the atmosphere inside is very cozy.
Very good menu with main courses and tapas, everything we ordered was very tasty.
A 100% recommendation.

Sad to say, in the 18 months since we last visited, the restaurant has sadly declined as a venue. We chose the tapas option for a change and were very disappointed. Both the fish cakes and tempura prawns came straight from the freezer into the fryer and the spicy beef came as tough beef in a non spicy sauce. The fish cakes were just dumped on a plate with no garnish or dipping sauce and, the prawns just came with sweet chilli sauce from the bottle.
It all just seemed as though they couldn't care less about anything, just going through the motions...
Definitely won't bother going back.

Small and cozy place, excellent cuisine. The spectacular French girl!!! as well as the octopus lagareiro, the croquettes... Variety of very delicious cakes too... It is very worth it... To repeat. Thank you so much.

We ordered 1 dose of octopus rice and 1 dose of Portuguese feijoada.
Terrible.
I suggest you start tasting all the food before serving it to those who pay the wages, the customers.
Frozen octopus for sure, or poorly cooked, as it was tougher than chewing gum.
The stew had little meat and was not of great quality.

Never again...

We were visiting Portimão when this restaurant appeared at the top of our suggestions. It was Tuesday at lunch and we gave it a try. We arrived at midday and were the first to have lunch. We ordered broken eggs, octopus à lagareiro and alheira balls. Everything was great, but there was still room for some minced meat with sweet and sour sauce.

The gentleman who served us was extremely friendly and was also the cook.
I recommend. Everything was 5*

The atmosphere is very rustic and well decorated and there was very comfortable background music.

The final price was €40 with drinks.

Very good cuisine with fresh, typical Portuguese products. We loved the dishes, it was delicious. The only negative point: the restaurant is very small and to save space the customers sit on uncomfortable and hard stools. Tables very close to each other.

Tapas with special sardines, instead the mailino with too much garlic. Small but friendly atmosphere

I was disappointed since I went with high expectations.Galician-style octopus has no oil! Garlic should be cooked more because few people like raw garlic in large pieces. Sweet and sour sauce from a jar in extreme quantities in one of the dishes...It is expensive for what it offers.
