A Pipa restaurant & bar is a popular fish restaurant with a good reputation, hidden in the center of Porto da Cruz. The freshly caught fish is beautifully prepared, and portions are generous. The service is efficient, with super good attention from the staff, and there are plenty of side dishes available. While there is no dessert, the Puncha is highly recommended. Don't forget to check out the fresh fish before it's cooked—guests can choose from superb whole fish like sea bream, deliciously grilled and served on a hearty plate. The style is more tavern, with paneling, and though there's no sea view, the homemade and fresh cuisine delights the taste buds for a fair price. The local atmosphere is lively, a little noisy, but all the staff are super efficient. Kid-friendly with high chairs and attentive waiters. Delicious food like sardines, squid, octopus, and garlic bread is worth the wait, even if it takes over an hour. Parking is available nearby.
