The pastry counter is packed full of sweet and savoury goods, so much to choose from! Very chill vibe and friendly staff. Main meals are a tad pricey but good portions. I was bit disappointed that the vegan egg only looked like an egg and they didn't try to replicate the taste, the yolk was slightly spicy. Would definitely return to try more pastry counter items!
Very tasty food! Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. The food was on the expensive side compared to other places where I ate a vegan franscesinha before.
After reading all the great reviews and seeing the photos, we decided to save our appetite for A Padoca. And it was worth it! Everything was really delicious, but my highlights were the Natas and one of the croissants. We also had the Mexican Salad with extra “fried egg” and the Big Mac Roll.
Very busy, variety of pastries, great menu, tasty food.
A small bakery in Porto, with extremely friendly and polite service. The food was extremely tasty, the iced tea and iced coffee were very good too... the pastries were incredible!!! Excellent option for anyone coming to Porto!!! Just keep up the incredible work!!! Thank you for this breakfast!!!
There are a lot of sweet and savory options. We had lunch here. The kids had a stuffed calzone pastry, which was tasty. I had a nice filling salad. My husband had an avocado filled croissant and was a bit disappointed, but I ordered another savory pastry, which was great.
Great selection of food and sweets. Updated from previous review on 2025-07-08
The food is absolutely delicious! The only downside is that it's NOT a pet friendly space. We were denied entrance indoors with our small dog and were invited to stay outside when it was extremely warm. According to the portuguese law, pets are allowed to enter and stay at any indoors space, including restaurants. The legislation governing this matter is **Law no. 15/2018, of March 27**, which amended the legal framework for accessing and operating commercial, service, and restaurant activities (Decree-Law no. 10/2015). For this matter, the decision of allowing the entrance of pets is exclusively of the responsubility of the owner of the space. Hence, given the fact that this is a vegan restaurant it shocks me that the owners actively choose not to allow pets inside the restaurant. The day we visited it was especially warm, hence staying outside was not an option. Portugal is not pet friendly in general and having traveled to other countries in Europe where pets are allowed everywhere, this is quite sad. Fortunately we have found vegan places that are allowed bit more evolved in terms of mentality and where our furry friend is allowed indoors. Updated from previous review on 2025-07-07
Incredibly tasty and nice. Very friendly stuff
We had both sweet pastries and mushroom bread. Both very good. Besides that, a good place to sit and very friendly staff.

They food is delicious, enough choose and they organise diners
Arriving in Porto on a public holiday (São João), some vegan restaurants weren't open. The walk to A Padoca was so worth it. Great service, a super vegan menu, great atmosphere, option to sit out, or in. After 14 days on the Caminho Santiago from Lisboa, this was definitely a great start to my break in Porto.
I visited them at a time when the kitchen was closed so I tried their cakes and teas which were very delicious!!!
We came on Saturday night to try the tasting menu of traditional Portuguese food. From start to finish each dish was outstanding. We were guided through each dish and given an explanation of where it comes from and how they veganised it. The food and wine was delicious and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. We also took some pastries with us for breakfast the next day, and they were lovey. This place is not to be missed!
What an incredible meal! The chef created vegan versions of Portuguese dishes from different regions of Portugal. And they were all delicious - really delicious! I appreciated the explanation that she gave about each dish and the region it came from. We had this dinner our first night and it was a wonderful orientation to Portuguese cuisine. It also set the bar really high for the rest of our trip! Can’t wait to go back!
