The experience at Antiqvvm was very good.
Perfect balance between product, flavor and innovation.
The service was attentive, they adapted the dishes to my dietary restrictions without any problem.
The restaurant is beautiful, both inside and on the terrace with wonderful views.
The price in line with the 2 Michelin stars it has.
Highly recommended visit.

Thank you for an evening with amazing flavour and texture, I'm stunned at how you work with and compose such delightful symphony of impressions and respect for the organic products and wine.
I am grateful that I could be your guest for an evening. You made me feel very precious, and I am also grateful that I got to show myself this grace and love.

A very special restaurant for a special evening! The aperitif alone with the view of the river is really great. Very professional service, very attentive. The dishes are beautifully composed and presented. We had the fish and meat menu, it was very special. Unfortunately, it is also a bit more expensive, so you can't afford the pleasure all the time. But if you do, you won't be disappointed!
Vegetarian options: There is a purely vegetarian menu, which is also cheaper than the fish/meat menu.

Exceptional. First of all, the location is just stunning and the interior is so cozy and comfortable. The service was excellent as is customary with michelin restaurants. I think my waiter's name was Diogo and he was lovely. And most importantly in my opinion, the taste of the food and wine were truly fantastic. Michelin restaurants are sometimes hit or miss on this. Presentation is always great but taste is often not. Not at Antiqvvm. Not only was the presentation of the dishes beautiful, but the flavors came together wonderfully and the wine pairings only enhanced the flavors. The foie gras with rhubarb... yum yum yum. I'm going to have dreams about this dish for years to come!!

Bad: Got terrible food poisoning. Could not eat or drink for 3 days. Completely ruined our vacation in Porto. The restaurant served a lot of raw food in its meat tasting menu, including shrimp and beef. Given the price point, there is no excuse for food to be spoiled.
Good: Good view of the sunset and river. Although you can get the same views for free at the park next door.

We got food poisoning from this anticipated meal on our anniversary trip, both my husband and I were sick for 3+ days. We dined here last week and I can finally think about this meal without being nauseous to write a review.
There is raw seafood or meat in almost every course in the tasting menu - raw shrimp, raw squid, raw beef tartare etc. We’re no strangers to sushi grade raw fish and have never gotten sick from raw seafood before. The menu might be too creative for the kitchen to handle safely, with raw shrimp and shellfish being especially prone to being contaminated.
The wait staff were nice and pleasant, and made a small ~10% adjustment to our bill since my husband started not feeling well halfway through the meal after the initial raw courses. However It wasn’t enough to make up for 2 says of two people being bedridden on vacation and a few more days of being nauseous and unwell. I hope the chef takes a closer look at his menu to make sure the kitchen can guarantee the safety their diners, especially for a Michelin starred establishment.

Not only is the place truly magnificent with a breathtaking view from the terrace, but the entire meal lived up to expectations for a 2 star. We were there as part of a company outing, the servers took great care of everything from starter to dessert, and they were even kind enough to adapt the menu to the dietary restrictions of certain colleagues.

This was our first visit to a Michelin 2-star restaurant, and we loved the experience. We had the opportunity to try foods that we had never tasted before, and the presentation of each dish was beautiful.
The wine waiter was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to answer all our questions about the wines. His attentiveness was a nice addition to our enjoyment of the meal.
While the main waiter was generally polite, he seemed somewhat annoyed when we asked questions. This detracted slightly from an otherwise excellent experience.
Considering the food and drink, we found it a bit pricey. We understand that the cost reflects the prestige and quality of a 2-star Michelin restaurant, but we felt it could have been slightly more reasonable.

First of all thank you, we had an incredible time.
The restaurant is located in the Palacio do Cristal garden which in itself is already very beautiful.
We had the chance to go there one afternoon and enjoy the superb view of the city and the Douro from the terrace, the weather was perfect, bright sunshine with a very slight breeze.
When we arrived, all the staff were very attentive, even offering a chair for my handbag.
As soon as the menu arrived we were dazzled, our waitress who spoke perfect French was infinitely kind. She was both present at all times and very discreet.
We took the sensory testing tasting menu with the harmonization of the wines in 5 stages.
What can I say except that it was the best meal of our lives.
To start, we had a little bit of Sichuan pepper butter, seaweed and olive oil with homemade bread. Then 2 appetizers with fish and caviar, accompanied by a superb sparkling white wine, followed by a small appetizer with oyster and cucumber, everything was incredibly accurate.
Then we got to the heart of the matter with the menu.
I wouldn't have words strong enough to describe our feelings, everything works well together, our sommelier who made the effort to explain everything to us in French although we told him to speak to us in English if it was easier for him , knew how to pair the wine and dishes to perfection.
We had a timeless moment, we felt like princes and princesses, it was fabulous.
Thanks again
I highly recommend it is a must for port.

Best restaurant of my life.
I have a little experience in France after having had a few starred hotels (1 star). The gap is present, well done.
Thank you to the chef and the dining team for this experience. We have adored. Thank you moist gesture for my friend's birthday.
Bravo to the sommelier for the discoveries!
To do again occasionally!
Regulatory rate for a 2 star in France.
Thanks from France ❤️
