Little hidden gem
Very cool coffee, very nice lady at the counter, great things to eat, she doesn't speak English but you still get along ... wonderful view of Porto, highly recommended

I visited today with my favorite person for some coffee after lunch. I love Galão in Portugal; drinking it is one of my favorite things. I had noticed this café while walking past the bridge before, so we decided to give it a try today. The prices for our drinks were not touristy at all—considering the location and view, they were very reasonable. The owner (or perhaps the manager) seemed very friendly.
Please come to this bar if you are in Portugal.
Small place with 100% homemade food and EXCELLENT treatment. Even if they don't speak another language, they make an effort to understand you and help you with whatever you need to understand the letter.
The spectacular bifana and the incredible cod bolinhos and grissol frango.

If you want to get lost and enjoy a different Porto, this balcony towards the Douro is incredible. More than excellent treatment and typical food from the hand of a great cook. Francesinha, Bifana and puppies... We will be back!
got a 10 euro breakfast for 4 ppl there or the cafe next door.. could not remember for sure.. but Geez.. the ppl there so homey and down to the earth kind of.. my kind of ppl.. one of things I love most is to meet the real local ppl while traveling.. They do not speak Eng. and I could not speak Portuguese.. all the comm. is expression and body language.. the old lady prepared my breakfast was an angel in disguise and reminded me how little actually I really need to be happy and content.. wish I could always stay in such state.. lovely ppl and place!

We came here with a Portuguese-speaking friend: awesome. We came back on our own with exactly one Portuguese word between us: awesome. Friendly, quick service and the food and coffee are great!
