One of the most impressive local wine cellers, with a huge wine variety and knowledge sommelier for perfect wi e pairing at super reasonable prices . (We had 2016 Quinta de redo , vivnio top 2% worldwide wine, for a good reason for 60eu)

Ate at Barrica 5/29. Got a surprise menu with a wine menu. The food was exciting, tasty and matched perfectly with the wine. Staff attentive and entertaining. The premises are cozy with good acoustics. All in all, a perfect evening in Porto. Can be highly recommended ?

A little hidden gem! I absolutely loved that the menu was secret, though one from our party looked and would confirm or deny our flavor guesses. Fantastic with the wine pairings as well! I would 100% return as the menu varies daily!
This place was underwhelming sadly. The food wasn’t great - maybe because the menu changes every day it didn’t really work together. The meat was overcooked. The waiters were training someone up who was shadowing them which is understandable and fine but quite a few things went wrong (wine pairing not coming or they delivered the soup bowl and not the soup) which led to quite a chaotic / stressful experience with the surprise menu as we weren’t sure if we were getting what we were meant to. We had to keep reminding them of things. The wine pairing was very overpriced for what it was (really really tiny portions) and compared to other wine pairings we have tried. Wouldn’t recommend! Much more inexpensive and better places to try in Porto!

Where do I start? From the phone call on the day of my reservation where they inquired about food sensitivities, I knew this had potential to be a great experience. As we entered, we were greeted pleasantly and then the service began immediately. We had asked for the surprise menu. Each dish that came out was carefully prepared and the flavors were incredible. We chose to have the wine pairing which was a great enhancement to the meal. In between servings, the staff were very attentive and every need was anticipated. Please make reservation here and request the surprise menu. Do this before they earn their Michelin star. I am sure it will take months to get a table after they do.

We were a little worried about the surprise menu, we've had not so good experiences with proposals like this. We are a little squeamish about some types of food and are always “a bit shy”. Fortunately decide to visit the restaurant. The cost is a little high, but it is consistent with the proposal and the quality of what is delivered. I recommend anyone who can, to go to the place, it was a rich experience and everything was wonderful, from the politeness and friendliness of the staff to the cutlery and atmosphere of the house. The only difficult point is parking, so I recommend taking Uber/bolt/etc. Minimum cost per person: €60

Fabulous experience only slightly spoiled by the couple next door announcing what was coming but the food was excellent and the waiting staff couldn't do enough to enhance the whole experience of the secret menu . Would recommend and certainly revisit if we return to
