We decided to give Doce Porto grupo Boca Doce a try for a quick snack. The cafe appeared cute and promising at first glance. The space inside the cafe was oddly expansive. Opting for a pizza, we found it to be mediocre at best. The taste was just okay, but disappointingly, it was dry, lacking the desired moistness and flavor we had hoped for. It failed to leave a lasting impression, leaving us wanting more from our snack. Although the staff was friendly, and the payment system involved a key tag approach, the prices were very reasonable. While the decor was decent, the underwhelming pizza left us feeling less satisfied than we had hoped.
Ignore the other reviews. Pastel de nata was delicious and so were the other things we tried. Staff very friendly and prices very cheap.
Only tried the miniature pastel de nata - and it was the worst I’ve had in Portugal. Pastry thick and damp, instead of light and crispy. Coffee very watery. Other items may be okay and savoury items look tasty in window.
Everything is OK...
very good to recommend
It's small but conveniently located in the shopping mall. It operates a buffet style only. I like to have hot and cold food on separate plates so the assistant let me make 2 visits to the counter (you don't help yourself). It cost about 9 euros which was good value (this does not include dessert). All vegetarian, a good choice of dishes and all quite healthy.
very well treated
Amazing! On Saturdays they have a partnership with the Coimbra Music Academy for music for babies. They also sell interesting products, art and give yoga classes and other good stuff.
