Cafe Cantinho

We ate a hamburger (very average without garnish), one of the cod tapas (which my mother loved), two bottles of water. There was a little confusion with the cakes, we ordered two, we cut them in half to share and there was a hair in one of the pieces. They apologized and took the plate (with the two halves, of two different cakes) and brought two more. In the end they charged us for 3 cakes, I understand that because one of the first ones was good, the problem is that my mother did not eat her portion and in the end they charged the whole amount anyway. I understand that they charged 3, but taking into account the mishap, I would not have charged any cake directly. In total they charged us €20, but it is the cheapest you will find in the fortress. The interior is very cozy.

The space is super beautiful, it has a very beautiful decoration, very spacious, the bathroom is very beautiful, odorless and with all the items available, but then the service is terrible and the staff are super unfriendly and even respond poorly to customers. We sat at a table, they didn't serve us, we moved to another that was clean and we had to take the order from the counter and when we asked if there was no table service, they said we had to wait instead of taking the order and bringing it to the table. You were the most brutal and unprofessional you can imagine. NEVER HAS A BREAKFAST MADE ME SO WRONG. They managed to leave me with a bad idea about Valença.?‍???????

Be careful this cafe cheats on int’l credit cards. Cashier took the CC machine and he pressed USD option and it charged a 4% transaction fee. He pretended not to know what happened and showed me all the receipts he was doing were the same scam. The machine is setup by the store owner so he knows he is cheating you. Be careful and just go next door. Prices are high at both locations and the coffee is “meh” but no cheating on payments.

Cafe was great and the waitress was very friendly .Unfortunately the prices were really high as we paid €4.60 for 2 hot cheese and toasts.

The best place to have an authentic Portuguese coffee, with a Belén cake or eat something with outrageous prices compared to the rest of the places. The waiters and staff have always been super friendly (we have come three times) and the terrace overlooks the entire street. Very good site

This is the kind of café where I could easily spend the day, working, chatting, reading, drinking coffee or a beer before dinner. Lovely.

Lovely little bar - and such helpful, attentive hosts. Great value, too. Do spare time to visit if you're in Castelo Roderigo.

Surreal place. This medieveal village in the middle of castelo rodrigo. Because even though Castelo Rodrigo is very famous in Portugal, it is not exactly Drubovnik. But the fact that of the 2 bars there, one is a craft beer place is pretty cool.
