I stayed in 3 hotels in Porto, but Acta was the best one! I wished I stayed longer in Acta. When you come Inside the hotel there is already a delicious smell and a calm ambiance. The hotel staff is very friendly and the hotel is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and nice, full of handy stuff. I’ve never got a razour kit at an hotel but here we got. The terrace rooftop is also very nice, and the location too. Easy to reach Porto centrum by foot.

I was a little concerned by some of the reviews I read but I had no reason to be worried. We arrived a little early for our stay, the room was ready so we were able to book in and be in the heart of Porto early afternoon.Our room was spacious, clean and well designed. The staff were friendly and helpful. When the sun is no longer in the streets try the roof terrace for a delicious glass of the local wine.

This is a very nice hotel and I was happy with my stay. The room were super spacious and clean. The bed was a little hard, but I still slept perfectly find. The temperature in the fridge was excellent, I got water and it kept it nice and cold. Water pressure in the shower and bathroom was strong. This was the first hotel I see that had 2x USB outlet so I didn't have to depend on my converter charger. I was surprise to see disposal shaver and cotton pads in the bathroom because most hotel doesn't offer this unless you request it. The location was a bit further from the central area, but if you don't mind 15-20 min walk then it's really not so bad. If you take a cab, it's about 7 min. The train station is about 5-7 min walk and there was only 2 restaurants on the same block as the hotel. There is a convenient shop right across the street, but if you want a supermarket then its about a 7 in walk as well. I would have to say this area is more on the quite end so if you want peace and quite to sleep then this is the spot to stay. The hotel is about 25 min from the airport. I do wish there was more food option and choices around, maybe in the the near future since there is construction site in front of the hotel. The hotel said they had a rooftop, but every time I try to gain access, it seems closed. I don't recommend ordering room service at this hotel. I think it was on the dryer end when they cooked the meat.

Basic hotel in an ok location. Rooms were basic and in need of updating as they are tired. Amenities were minimal but ok. Breakfast selection was adequate and has room for improvement. Travellers hotel and one picked by the tour company so we had no choice.

Booked superior room. Large spacious bedroom. Large comfortable queen size bed. Good quality bed linen with 2 perfect pillows. Walk in shower, larger than usual bathroom. Very clean. Curtains have blackout lining. Couldn’t hear other guests. Breakfast comprised cereals including granola, plus nuts. Meats , cheeses and boiled eggs.Delicious cut fresh fruit and Greek yogurt plus other fruit yogurt, hot buffet comprised of bacon, scrambled egg, mushrooms and beans. Selection of breads and cakes.perfectly adequate. Really helpful, happy and informative reception staff. Great rooftop terrace. Ok, hotel is a little out from the hustle and bustle but for €3 you can get an Uber. This was a great hotel which I would not hesitate in recommending.

Faulty towers on steroids. Breakfast a complete shambles. Food running out and taking forever to be replaced. Then there were no cups. Tables left uncleared so people had nowhere to sit. Then to make matters worse, our room had been left open all day by the cleaners while we were out. And the tv had been turned on. Front desk didn’t seem to care and called me a liar about the tv. We asked if we could be moved to a room that was more secure. As we were down on the 1st floor near the cleaners exit we were told they were fully booked. I hope someone from management reads this before we leave in the morning and has more consideration that the 3 hopeless staff there yesterday.

No supervision over the staff and on the hotel. Staff no motivated and polite and enough for a 4 stars hotel and for the number of rooms.

Absolutely lively hotel. Away from all the noise but still very comfortable location. Great beds, but most of all the lady running the breakfast. They obviously were understaffed (call in sicks, hey) and she was an absolute bomb. Patricia Silva managed to run whole breakfast, reception for restaurant, clean tables in lightning speed and top up whatever would finish all with one more person helping her. It's a big hotel, mind you. Mister boss, this girl deserves a raise... or I will hire her...:) Thanks, Patricia!
First time in Porto for business. Chose this hotel on recommendation and walking distance to business location. Easy to get to from Airport by car or public transport with train station at end of street. Very easy to get to any location by walking. Will stay here again.
