Quiet place with few tourists, the quality of the food is very good and so is the service. We are Spanish and they gave us a letter in Spanish, which was appreciated! Recommended if you are in the area and want to escape the crowds for a bit.

Simple food bar but highly recommended if you are looking for homemade Portuguese food with a good quality/price ratio. Located near the Luis I Bridge, it is small and gives the feeling of a typical neighborhood establishment. Friendly treatment, with recommendation of menu availability. Although we were left wanting to try the cod because they didn't have any left, the alternatives offered such as the francesinha were satisfactory and filling. We ate for about €12 per person, bread and drink included. That said, if you are more interested in eating well for a low price than in the decoration or the atmosphere, it is totally advisable.

The owner is a criminal.
We arrived, placed an order, and waited for 25 minutes. We decided to leave because we had a theater performance to attend. We went to inform him instead of just leaving, and he started calling us thieves, saying we had to pay. The food was almost ready (we hadn't even eaten a piece of bread), and when we tried to leave, he got aggressive and LOCKED THE DOOR, trapping us and all the other customers inside. He forced us to pay.

We went to this place because we were nearby and wanted something local and cheap. After reading the reviews we decided to give their Frenchenha and Alheira a try. As soon as we entered, we were not even looked at by those who I believe were the owners (which unfortunately often happened in Faro). Luckily the girl who served us afterwards was very nice. The food left a lot to be desired, the Frenchenha was tough and dry, the sauce not cooked and the chips looked like they had just come out of the package. I really don't recommend these two dishes and I hope that the rest of the food on the menu is more edible.
